The Rain were late 80's jangle beat pop band from Basingstoke, UK.
Clive Stubbings (Guitar & Vocals) was the main man. Writing virtually all their recorded material. Stubbings was ably assisted by Tony Duckworth on Bass and Vocals and Chris Morrell on Drums.
They changed their name to Clark Springs, after a legal wrangle with another band also called The Rain.

Early 90's indie dance UK band featuring one guy from The Dream Academy, Kevin Ayers daughter on vocals, half of PM Dawn, and one live band member each from Curve, Aztec Camera and Shakespear's Sister. They only released two singles before splitting, but those were produced by PWL's Dave Ford (fresh from mixing Opus III) and Alan Moulder (fresh from producing Curve). A dance/ambient/new age hybrid not unlike Opus III/Zoe.
