The Jerks - Demo 1

THE JERKS
Demo 1
1988

Notes :
Great unsigned late 80's indie rock band from Manchester. Band members were: John Reed (vocals), Lee Dransfield (guitar), Warren Wrigley (bass), David Gill (keyboards) and Andy Price (drums).
Several demo tapes recorded at The Mill by Clint Boon. 'Waterskin' released on the compilation tape 'Kite' and 'Didn't Quite Make It' released on the Bop/Joe Bloggs compilation Hit The North. After John Reed left, Lee Severin from Too Much Texas replaced him and they replaced their set, soon afterwards changing their name to Rubber Orange.

Band members were Lee 'Drany' Dransfield (guitar), Warren Wrigley (bass), Andy Price (drums), David Gill (keyboards) and Lee Severin (vocals) who came from another great Manchester band called Too Much Texas. One of the members of Too Much Texas was Tom Hingley from Inspiral Carpets.
After Rubber Orange, Lee Severin formed britpop band Jubilee and released two singles on Silvertone Records.
