"The effects-heavy, melting-house climax draws on both the 1953 HOUSE OF WAX and a surreal stairway in the first NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET..."
Product Description:
In this remake of the classic 1953 Andre de Toth film that starred Vincent Price, horrors abound in a creepy wax museum. A group of road-tripping Florida teenagers (Elisha Cuthbert, Chad Michael Murray, Paris Hilton, Robert Ri'chard, Jared Padalecki, and Jon Abrahams) stop to camp near a small town where an abandoned wax museum draws their curiosity. Upon exploring the scary cobwebbed space, they find that the figures are not only eerily lifelike, but that the entire museum--floor to ceiling--is actually made of wax. If that wasn't enough to scare them, they encounter a couple of very unsettling characters who seem to be the only people around for miles. One is a blood-splattered redneck who collects roadkill, dumping the bodies of dead deer into a fetid carcass swamp. The other is Bo (Brian Van Holt), a gas station attendant who lures the kids back to his house. Soon, through a series of stomach-turning slasher scenes featuring scissors, long knives, and even a pair of pliers, the teens get to know Bo a whole lot better. They even meet his insane brother Vincent (also played by Van Holt). Brief interludes of teen squabbling and a Hilton strip tease in red lace lingerie temporarily break the tension, but for the most part this HOUSE OF WAX stays the course with shockingly gory moments that earn grosser-than-gross status. Sick predilections involving an experimental surgical station and an elaborate wax-coating machine reveal Vincent's artistic process. But before the bloodbath is over, more twisted secrets about Bo and Vincent bubble to the surface, resulting in a spectacular grand finale and total meltdown.

Description:
This titillating 1960 festival of flesh brings comedian Hank Henry and a host of gorgeous strippers, out of the burlesque hall and before the cameras. A "scientific" study of the average male follows frustrated husband Hank as he daydreams about - you guessed it - beautiful naked women. Cleopatra, Josephine, Delilah, Pocahontas, the most nubile seductresses' of history appear in sexually suggestive bits with Hank, almost always forgetting to wear their tops, as the color cameras roll. Clearly, producer W. Merle Connell (Tijuana After Midnite,1954) spent his budget on talent and not costumes, as the screen is filled with one voluptuous beauty after another. Drive-in owners loved this type of fare - hanging the "Adults Only" sign would guarantee a packed house! Contains nudity. Bonus content includes rare blue teasers "Fanny With The Cheeks of Tan" and "Sadie the Sunbather." ON SALE AT Oldies.com FOR $3.99!

"[T]his is one of the genre's defining entries....Few American filmmakers matched Bava's visual brio."
Description:
Though most do not watch Mario Bava films for their tightly constructed plots, this film still provided much of the inspiration for the first two FRIDAY THE 13TH films, as well as some of the actual scenes. The plot hinges on a bunch of murderous relatives who are all competing to inherit the estate of the matron of the family, which is mainly the bayside resort at which they are staying. However, a gaggle of teens show up and see a bit too much and, well, it becomes the BAY OF BLOOD...

Description by OLDIES.com:
In 1971 Kane Lynn, head of Hemisphere Pictures needed a horror film to follow the hit Beast of Blood. In stepped Sam Sherman, a partner in Independent-International Pictures Corp., offering to produce a super-fast low budget follow-up. With the blessing of Kane's former partner Eddie Romero, Sherman and Al Adamsom were hired to create Brain of Blood. Shot by Adamson in an amazing eight days, they were able to convince many that this was a Philippine sequel to Romero's Blood Island series by avoiding filming locations that could be identified as Hollywood and appropriating the music score from Mad Doctor Of Blood Island.
Familiar faces reappear including veteran actor Kent Taylor, whose long film career included a role in Death Takes A Holiday (1934) but is best remembered as TV's Boston Blackie. Taylor had appeared in Independent- International's Satan's Sadists, Brides Of Blood and others. He is joined by Grant Williams (The Incredible Shrinking Man - 1957) and Sherman's favorite evil dwarf, Angelo Rossitto who was a veteran of Tod Browning's Freaks as well as Bela Lugosi classics The Corpse Vanishes, Scared To Death, Spooks Run Wild, and had appeared in the Independent-International hit, Dracula Vs. Frankenstein. They are joined by beloved Hollywood veteran Reed Hadley (Zorro's Fighting Legion and star of TVs' "Racket Squad").
