Not content with the CREEPY and EERIE horror comics titles, Forrest J Ackerman developed the idea of Vampirella of Drakulon, a humorous strip that was Warren's version of PLAYBOY's Little Annie Fanny. Frank Frazetta turned in a wonderful cover for the first issue after Aslan, the intended cover artist (who did cheesecake a la Alberto Vargas for PENTHOUSE) apparently couldn't deliver on time (his painting appeared on VAMPIRELLA ANNUAL #1).

I was fortunate enough to get the last issue standing at my local drug store newsstand. It had obviously been thumbed through numerous times already, but I wasn't going to be my usual nit-picky, gotta buy it in mint condition self since it was the last one. I still have it along with the rest of the 112-issue run.
