MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD asked and readers responded. The question was: "Who's your favorite monster?" The decision was decidedly split, but by the end of the month-long survey it was clear who the BMOC (Big Monster on Campus) is -- the Frankenstein Monster!

The votes are in and there is a clear winner. Monster magazine readers MUCH prefer to read their 'zines in the good, ol' fashioned, tried and trusted printed format instead of electronically. Apparently, Nooks and Kindles are being used to read other things besides monster mags, but that might also be because there aren't that many available yet. Still, readers prefer the printed page to the glare of an LCD monitor when checking out the latest in monsters.

The second MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD poll closed last Sunday with a total of 55 votes cast. Thanks to everyone who participated. Besides the fun factor, these polls are designed to gain insight on just who it is that reads this blog and what people are thinking about when it comes to their favorite monster mags and monster 'zines in general. The results are in! To those of you who voted on the first ever MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD poll that has been residing on the sidebar since I began this blog, thanks!
By looking at the results, one could interpret them as representing a kind of demographic of the typical person who reads MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD -- at least by the people who participated anyway. For most of the running, SCARY MONSTERS and RUE MORGUE were neck and neck nearly to the finish. The "OTHER" category was obviously the spot where one quarter of you (25%) have a favorite monster mag that was not listed. I had to do a little rounding off to make things add up to 100% and tried to distribute the percentage points as accurately as possible (I know you're saying by now, "Who cares?", but I'm a stickler for details of this sort). I may try another poll in the future, so if you see it appear, please feel free to state your opinion!
