From AlexS: tanks! (176 pst)

Hi everyone! My name is Alex, I am still from Russia and I still love tanks. They are beautiful because they do vroom-vroom and pew-pew. We bring to your attention tanks and self-propelled guns of Germany for the period of the early and late stages of the second world war. They are all produced by the "Zvezda" company and allow either to supplement a large army for this period, or to play according to small rules like "What a tanker". Camouflage and numbers are applied at random, the coloring of the "Mouse" tank is also arbitrary, according to the pattern that is kept in a museum in Russia. I really hope that I can play with them in the near future. Well, or I just walk around the table, saying: "vroom-vrum", "pew-pew".

From AlexS: Soviet vehicles (152 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I am from Russia and I really love tanks. They make "vroom-vroom" and "pew-pew", they are fast, beautiful and adamantly dictate our will to our enemies. Let me introduce you to a few tanks and self-propelled guns of the Soviet army during the Great Patriotic War (I am used to saying that, not World War II). All models produced by the already mentioned company of the star in the size of 15mm, they are perfectly assembled, easy to paint and inexpensive. They can also be played according to the "tank duel" rules, for example, according to the "What a tanker!" or in large battles, for example, according to the rules of "flame of war". I painted them using oil and am very happy. What to say? "Vroom-vroom" and "pew-pew"!

From AlexS: siege tower (20 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex and I continue to finish various interesting things. Today it is a siege tower from the Russian company Zvezda. An excellent but underutilized vehicle that can only be used in rare castle or city siege scenarios. The tower is large, gloomy and clumsy. I thought to paint a Mercedes sign on it, but decided it might be an anachronism. What do you think is worth writing on the tower?

From AlexS: medieval BFG (8 points)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I'm from Russia and I like big guns. Boys love big guns that shoot loud, don't they? And I decided to make myself a big gun, because all my guns are small. I decided to make myself even a big f*** gun (BFG), because how can you live without a BFG? I took a set from a local manufacturer "Zvezda" called "Medieval Bombard". The main advantage of this set is that there is a large cannon on a large stand and can be a marker for a scenario (you need to grab this cannon!) Or even a terrain element. I tried very hard and even pasted on the grass. I'm great, right? Do you like my BFG? :)

From AlexS: markers (33 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex and I am from Russia. Today there are no halves. I really love this event, because during it you will see not only wonderful works of other people, but you can also do what you usually do not have time for. And today I bring to your attention the loss markers for the Napoleonic era games. .they are very different. They can sweep away different amounts of waste and look very good on the table. I was glad to have the opportunity to do them.

From AlexS: Cowboys (100 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I am from Russia and like all boys I love zombies, cowboys and pirates. I've already painted 100 zombies during the event, it's cowboy time!
I really like this event, because during it I did a lot of interesting projects. In particular, last year and the year before last, I made miniatures and buildings for the Wild Wild West project (and even cacti). But as always, there are still miniatures and now there is an opportunity to finish them. I present to your attention 10 desperate cowboys who are ready to fight other cowboys or Cthulhu (there is Cthulhu in my wild wild west!).

From AlexS: Zombie horde (475 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex and I am from Russia. I am very grateful to all of you for continuing to paint miniatures at this strange time. I am also grateful to Kurt personally for the fact that he was able to organize all this. I am pleased to look at the works that appear here and am very glad that many people are stealing better and more.
Today I present to you my little work - a horde of 100 zombies. They are collected from different kits, produced by different manufacturers. I was asked - why do I need 100 zombies? It's great to just put 100 zombies on the table ...

Many thanks again to everyone, your work inspires me.

I'm terribly sorry for missing your post earlier, Alex, but I've got round to it now!

It's always great to see your submissions, and what a great way to start off your Challenge.

475 points it is, which will put you in joint 6th place (for now).

From AlexS: Хорошо! (Good!)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I'm from Russia!

I was very happy to take part in a wonderful new event. I really liked the idea with the island and the transition from location to location, and I even painted more than I originally planned. Here are so many:

I did a whole project dedicated to the mythical pirate republic on the island of Madagascar, described by Daniel Defoe. It now has huts, and the jungle, and soldiers of the East India campaign, and African savages with shamans and a noble leader, and, of course, pirates.

Next - I made many miniatures as part of my project "Sicilian Normans." On March 22-23, a story event on the basis of the SAGA system was to be held, and these miniatures were supposed to take part in it, but despite the fact that we have almost no cases of the new virus in the city, it was canceled. It happens...

I also did a little for my old project - the Wild West, which I started during the last event.

In addition, I made even the little things of different miniatures and terrain elements. Special thanks to Сurt for challenging me at the peak of the Snow Lord and I discovered something new in myself - I made a three-dimensional map of the island. It was interesting and exciting.

It was a wonderful three months in my life. I am grateful to Curt and his team of assistants for the time spent. As always, everything was at the highest level. All the participants were great, and to express my admiration, I would have to write everyone’s name and tell how good they are. But then a new event will begin ... But I would especially like to thank Tamsin, who changed her drawing style and I like this new style and inspire me.

Unfortunately, one of two things that I dream of from my first event did not happen: I did not learn English so that I could communicate freely or the language of the event did not become Russian. Therefore, I wrote few comments (позор! - shame! ) And did not understand everything. But I saw that many take photographs of alcoholic drinks on the background of miniatures. I also decided to take such a photo. Thank you all, and see you next time!

From AlexS: Dry the brushes! (110 pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, and I'm from Russia. The next event is coming to an end, and I'm a little sad. First of all, because I spent three months in the same space with interesting and good people, but now the doors opened and the exit sign lit up. Secondly, I did not color everything that I thought to paint.
Here is my "Hall of Shame:

But I managed to do something. For example, arbalester production company "Dear our friend Veniamin LTD." They are perfect for games for a long time period, although the manufacturer positions them as Irish for the dark ages.

Well, a few miniatures on my project "Pirates", which I started and almost finished during the event.

General view:

Well, the photo of my workplace - it’s mobile, because sometimes I ran from room to room to sleep from children and get a little pleasure from paint splashing little men ...

As always, it has been fantastic having you along for the ride Alex. I think most Challengers have a "pile of shame" (not me this year, although I do still have stuff from the last 3 or 4 Challenges that still haven't seen the paint table!).

Lovely work on the pirates and arbalesters. Hope to see you again next time around!

From AlexS: A Varied Set Of Different Miniatures (115 Points)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I am from Russia and today I will not show you terrain from clay and branches. Today is another set of different miniatures.

Firstly, a sultry oriental woman. She was especially pleased to paint, looking at the snow falling all day long over the fire.

Secondly, two pirates whom I collected from various spare parts which each wargamer stores in a large box.

Thirdly, some more African warriors. Leader, musician, great shaman and shaman squad. Yes, it looks a bit like a comic book, but why not?

Finally, a squad of Saracens or Moors for games according to the rules of the SAGA. Yes, today there are many shades of black, you are right.

General view. It is said that the event ends. I hope to have time to do something else. And if not, then I was very happy with all of you.

 ***
Alex, it is always a treat when I have the opportunity to "minion" one of your outstanding entries.  As always, there is great variety and fantastic, subtle commentary.

I agree that painting a figure while the fire burns and the snow falls can be amazing...but we're all a little tired of the snow falling here - we got three more centimetres last night! Spring can come any time now...

I am using my powers to add five extra points, because I so loved the idea of figures assembled out of spare bits. Perfect pirates indeed. That will 115 points for you sir!

From AlexS: many different things (180pts)

Hello everybody! My name is Alex and I love variety. Today is such a post - you will find many different things.
Firstly, the Norman heroes - they will portray warband leaders for the SAGA game system. Well, or the leader and the priest (the one with a club, obviously can be a priest).

Secondly, African warriors led by their leader. They can easily fit into most conflicts - from antiquity to the 19th century. War paint I especially succeeded, is not it?

Thirdly, I more and more liked to make lenses, markers and other small dioramas. This time I made a captive African warrior in a cage. He can be released during the game and get powerful, like Hercules from the novel of Jules Verne, an ally. Well, or just put in the middle of an African village. As always, I used improvised materials - I bought a ball of twigs in a store of decorative products for the home.

I liked the material from which I made Сurt Island (many thanks to everyone who expressed admiration for my work), and I decided to try to make a house out of it. It looks a little awkward and dirty, so it’s great for playing about pirates.

Finally, in the finals - I painted an addition to the English squad for games about pirates. Now they have a horse officer and two guns. There was the standard bearer and the grenadiers, after which I will calm down. May be...

The general view gives an idea of my eclecticism this time.
