From Richard P - 10mm Iraq 1941 Project IRAQI POLICE

Another of the 2020 projects is a 10mm WW2 project using the wonderful book by Alan Hamilton "A Wargamer's Guide to the Campaign in Iraq 1941"

The plan is to have the entire project finished by November this year ready to begin a series of campaign games as detailed in the book. The rules I will be using are Blitzkrieg Commander IV from Pendraken Miniatures.

First two units complete are both Iraqi Police using the 10mm Pendraken British from their Colonial Zulu War Range as a proxy as suggested in the Guide. A total of 18 bases (16 rifles and 2 HQ) giving a total of 54 miniatures.

What a unique little project!  That region of the world has certainly seen its share of challenges, but yours will be quite a different take on it to what we usually associate with Iraq.

54 figs for points points Sir!

From FranL - 15mm Relocated Iraqi War T-72's and BMP 1's... (60 Points)

...from Battlefront Team Yankee!

15mm plastic models to represent the Iraqi armour that fell into the hands of Kurdish and ISIS forces among others in 2003 at the end of the Iraqi War!

5 T-72's and 5 BMP 1's, more modern US stuff also has ended up in their hands that previously belonged to Iraq!

These are a little too early possibly for the period but they are listed as still in use but probably later versions.

The BMP 1's weren't too difficult to make but the T-72's were a little more fecking harder to make especially with some fecking big hands issues!

That is a respectable horde of armour Fran! I played with these Team Yankee models when I was visiting Greg last week, and while they look to be very nice kits, I understand that they are a bit fragile and fiddly to work with. Are the choppers still to come?
