From RayR - Donnybrook - Last of the Mohicans (30 points)

Back in Challenge 8 in 2018 I painted up the Warlord Figures pack Last of the Mohicans here
Mainly to use as command figures for my Natives for King Philip's War/Bacon's Rebellion.

Around about the same time I bought the Redoubt Enterprises version of the same figures, Although there's no Magua, instead we have the ill fated Major Duncan Heyward.
These will also go into the Native Command box of doom. The ladies will go into the civilian box,
and poor Maj Heywood will go into the what the hell I'm I gonna do with you box!

I think I prefer these figures to the Warlord ones?

Bit blurry I know.
Cora Munro, Alice Munro, Chingachgook, Uncas

Alice, Chingachgook, Uncas, Hawkeye (in his famous, chasing after Magua pose)  and Maj Heyward

Originally I was just going to paint up Cora and Alice, just in case I needed them for Sarah Star ship, but before I knew it I'd cleaned up the pack and stuck them on sticks and lets face it, they're a pretty easy paint job.

This fine looking bunch of 6 x 25mm figures will earn me another 30 points, which leaves me just 9 points shy of Miles in 6th place.

Hi Ray - great brushwork as always, some interesting figures and a wonderful setting. Another 30 points for you! And I think we all have a "What The Hell Am I Gonna Do With You Box"...

from RayR - Donnybrook - Plymouth Colony Militia 1675, 100pts

Back to Donnybrook, now there's a surprise!!! But this time we've crossed the pond to the early English Colonies in America.

I've used these Empress Miniatures English Civil War figures to represent the early colonists
in the America's. I bought these a few years ago at SELWG in Crystal Palace as I wanted some Militia types for King Philips War  and other fights around that time. This is the first time I've painted Empress Miniatures before and I've gotta say they are crackin' figures in both proportion and to paint up.

The unit is made up of various Infantry and dismounted Cavalry packs to try and make them look more individual.

The flag is a homemade one I drew on Paint, I've no clue what kind of flag the Militia would have used if at all? So I used the flag of St George. And of course they don't have to just be the Plymouth Militia, they could be any unit of the war. And of course they could be from the ECW, IF I ever want to do Donnybrook ECW???

There are 20 figures in the unit.

Which gives me 100 points to add to my total.

From RayR: 25mm Massachusetts Bay Militia (40 points)

Yes they are for Donnybrook, I know I know!

The men of the Massachusetts Bay Militia fought in the Battle of Bloody Brook which
was fought on September 12, 1675 between militia from the Massachusetts Bay Colony and a band of Indians led by Nipmuc sachem Muttawmp. The Indians ambushed colonists escorting a train of wagons carrying the harvest from Deerfield to Hadley. They killed at least 40 militia men and 17 teamsters out of a company that included 79 militia.

Sounds to me like this could make a cool game?

Not sure what make the figures are, but I know they're ECW Irish, but they will do very
nicely for colonists in the 1670's.

These brave men of Massachusetts should earn me 40 pts!

*check's Ray's arithmetic* 8 x 25mm foot @ 5 points each = 40 points. my word - he's actually got it right!

Cracking work on these militia chaps. Maybe we'll get to see them in an AAR sometime, probably around AHPC XIV at your rate!
