From PeteB - Paulus Miniatures - The little lady and the cat - 10 Points

This is my last contribution for this years challenge. And as I wanted to paint at least one other female figure, after my Bonnie I decided to paint this nice little girl from Paulus Miniatures with her cat "Gaston"! The girl is a 3D printed figure and 54 mm high. On this little vignette will be added some more figures but not this challenge. I don't get them ready. But I hope you like this little lady that is dreaming and watching her cat.

The piece of scenery (7 x 4,5 cm) comes with the lady. The cat is part of a medieval soldier running around his legs. I choose the name of the cat "Gaston" because our first cat was a white one. He's been always in our minds and harts, and now he is visual in this little figure. The base (10 x 6 cm) is a print from miniatuurwereld.com.
I used a lot of grey and some earth colours for the base and the wall, and the window shutters in blue to get some more color on the vignette.

The not painted figures;

Base and scenery.

Thanks for watching!

Points: 1 x 54 mm Foot figure = 10 Points.

I really like this vignette, Pete! How very whimsical and introspective. I like that you drew upon your family and your past pet for inspiration on this. I also appreciate how you did the stonework by introducing browns and tans and the shutters in blue to give the piece more warmth and colour. Really lovely work and I'm going to give a few bonus points for the terrain. I hope next year you can show us the completed piece. Well done!

From PeteB - Reconquer Designs -St. Raimundo de Fitero - 15 Points

A small contribution wit some figures from Reconquer Designs, kindly given by my friend Michele Gentile. The figures are 3D printed with some very nice details. Some information about the monk St. Raimundo de Fitero can be found here! Cause of the bad weather I couldn't take pictures in daylight. I did the best I could taking photo's inside.

Thanks for watching!

- 1 x 28 mm foot figure        =   5 Points
- Total                                   =  15 Points

Great little vignette Peter! Love how you used the simple dynamics of the figures to let them tell a story. The natural olours worked out great as well and really enhance the sculpting of these figures. Great work all round Peter, hope you have more of this comming!

From PeteB - Archers - 44 Points

In this post three small projects that come together.

1. Reamsa - Medieval Archer - 54 mm

This figure came with his head of the body, so I first had to repair that before painting. As Reamsa is a Spanish company I gave him a little touch with red and yellow, colors of the Spanish flag.

2. Britains - Medieval Archer - 54 mm

Like the previous figure of Reamsa, this Britains figure came also in a bad condition. Don't know who gave this figure a base coat, but it took away almost all the details. So it needed some cleaning before painting. This one is painted, it's a Britain, with blue, red and some white, the colors that are also in the British flag.

3. Giant - Indians on horse - 20 mm

These figures missed the cut for the "Toy Story" theme round. That's why I post them here. As said these are 56 years old and for their age they painted really nice. And there is one archer, so it fits the top title! 😊

A grand entry today Peter! You have really revived these old toys excellently. I must say the Archer most, very good.

From PeteB: My last post of this challenge! (45 Points)

This last post for the challenge was one with handicaps for me, due to family matters . Now I'm happy I could finish these figures. I was thinking to bring these in for two of the circles of "Paradise" but I'm not sure if they fit in it.

3D - Calamity Jane - 28 mm - 5 Points

I found this figure years ago at the meeting in Mol, Belgium, and now I found the time and the occasion to paint her. I've painted with some bright colors because I see her here as the owner of a bar. But we all know that she did so many jobs that this was just for a while. But she looks good in this clothing (I wouldn't dare to disagree with her because she has a rifle and a gun!😁).

The circle I was thinking about for Paradise was "The Inconstant". I let it to the minion to decide if the points can be given.

Jecsan - Spanish Knights - 54 mm (70 mm) - 40 Points

These four knights are very high, 70 mm, and it is the first time I painted the armor in this way. With this way I mean I painted them first black and I did some drybrushes with Games Workshop Chainmail. In the past I've painted armor with Chainmail and then I gave them one or two layers of black wash.

I hope you like them. And I wouldn't know in what circle of Paradise these knights would fit.

Total points of this post = 45 Points

So this was it for this challenge. It was my first time and I'm happy with the final result. I believe it is tradion after the challenge to post a picture of the whole lot, so i will do that when it is allowed. thank you all for letting me join this madness! 👍😁

Sylvain: Calamity Jane scouted the area not far south from where I live. She looks ready for her next adventures. Your knights looks very detailed and very shiny. It's a great post for your last entry of the Challenge. Well done!

From PeteB: Gluttony, Greed, Wrath and some other figures (143 points)

I couldn't post last week, so now I have a bit more things to show. I managed to finish three circles of "The Abyss", a Dulcop Robin Hood figure and some 20 mm figures. Let's start with the circles.

Gluttony - Paul Hicks - Lamme Goedzak and friends - 28 mm - 35 Points

These figures are the CRISIS 2017 Antwerp figures. For those who has been there they know there was always an entry figure in the goodie bag. That year it was Tijl Uilenspiegel and you could buy two extra figures and a base. And one of the extra figures was Lamme Goedzak, a man that like food and wine very much. Two things on the figure point in that direction, a spoon and a rabbit. the third figure is Nele, girlfriend of Tijl. For this circle I couldn't seperate them.

Unpainted figures

Points:
- Gluttony                        = 20 Points
- 3 x 28 mm foot figures = 15 Points
- Total                              = 35 Points

Greed - Crescent - Sheriff of Nothingham - 54 mm - 30 Points

This figure made by Crescent joined the gang of Prince John for more power and fill his pockets. That's why I choose him for thsi circle. You can find him as an original Crescent figure but also from Kellogg's. Only the markings under the base can make that clear. This one I'm showing is original. I only have the Kellogg's figures complete and unpainted. This one had some paint on him so now he looks better. The color pallet I took was random.

My collection.
Top = Crescent, 3 figures missing.

Points:
- Greed                   = 20 Points
- 1 x 54 mm figure = 10 Points
- Total                     = 30 Points

Wrath - 3D - Plague Doctor - 54 mm - 30 Points

The plague was also known as "The Wrath of God" and therefor this doctor is the ideal figure for this circle. The figure is a 3D print (no brand) made by a German friend of me. I paint these figures for my wife because she reads everything that has the plague as subject. The first one was from Speira Miniatures (= link to my blog) and since then I collect and paint them for her. Second one can be found here. I have some more to paint but not now.

Points:
- Wrath                   = 20 Points
- 1 x 54 mm figure = 10 Points
- Total                     = 30 Points

Dulcop - Robin Hood Merry Man - 54 mm - 10 Points

I couldn't paint that villian of Nothingham without one of the heroes to give some resistance. An old Italian figure, hard to get like the Napoleonic figures. Lovely figure to paint and I'm happy with the result.

Points:
- 1 x 54 mm figure = 10 Points

Waterloo1815 - Roger's Rangers - 20 mm - 38 Points

These figures were lying way to long in a box unpainted. I've got one sprue of these from a swap with a friend. When I started on them I saw two figures with snow shoes and the other eight without. So I based two groups on gras and the others in the snow. I base these figure only for storage as I'm not a wargamer. A review of these figures can be found on Plastic Soldier Review.

Snow is from Games Workshop.

Boxart

I've painted the edges of the bases red to mark them as British troops. I know that the rules say that a lying figure is only half of the points, and I counted him that way, but I'm not sure that the figure is really lying. I've painted the whole figure before it was put on the base because most of the equipment he's wearing is visible. I let it to Teemu to make a decission.

Points:

- 9,5 x 20 mm figure = 38 Points

The whole bunch of this post! 😊

Final total:

- Gluttony                       = 35 Points

- Greed                            = 30 Points

- Wrath                            = 30 Points

- Dulcop figure                = 10 Points

- Waterloo1815 figures    = 38 Points

- Total points of this post = 143 Points

Thanks for watching and have fun!

TeemuL: Wonderful and varied entry, I especially like your Sheriff of Nottingham and the Plague Doctor. Great colours on them! No issues with the others, either, I find your brushwork pleasing my eyes. Quite a grab of bonus points, too. I'll give you full points for the half lying mini, because 1) you say you fully painted him and 2) I'm the bestest of minions.
