An Invincible Summer - A Woman's Journey

In Christianity Today, a magazine founded by the late Rev. Billy Graham, an article by editor-in-chief  Mark Galli that stated: “Remember who you are and whom you serve,” Galli’s editorial states. “Consider how your justification of Mr. Trump influences your witness to your Lord and Savior. Consider what an unbelieving world will say if you continue to brush off Mr. Trump’s immoral words and behavior in the cause of political expediency.” Finally a Christian organization speaking some sanity.  That’s all I got to say about that. 

So many people I talk to these days tell me they feel certain that current POTUS will be reelected. Each time I hear this I feel despair and a more anxiety. It seems to grow exponentially. I don't like having such a big stake in something that I have absolutely zero control over. I need a new perspective....breathe. I am borrowing the worst possible outcome, not trusting the system that I have always believed in because so many men and women that have been voted in the public are shirking their duties and twisting what I have come to believe is the American Way. Tolerance, brotherhood, service, honesty. We have traded much of that for a nasty lot this time around. I am especially concerned with other countries affecting or attempting to affect the outcome of our "fair" elections. This has been well documented for 2016. 187 criminal charges, plea deals from numerous people close to the POTUS, 38 Russian nationals or linked individuals have been charged with crim...

I have had a morning routine ever since I decided I needed to work on being grateful. I lay for a bit and remember what I am thankful for, I read the Word for the Day" email that shows up with words of encouragement, community and growth, and then depending on how early it is, I quietly get ready to go to the office. For the past few months I added one step to the routine. After the required grateful building activities, I check the AP to see if the misogynistic, pussy grabbing, vow breaking, porn star paying, his own lie believing, tax return hiding, bankrupt claiming, non-voting, brown skin hating, big brained,  bone spur draft dodging, putin loving, horrible excuse for a man has left the white house to try save his own skin from a personal set of steel slats.  Not today, but I hold out hope. Probably not the best exercise for peace but, ah well.......Have a great day my friends.

Went to a protest last night. I really enjoyed it; we made plans for the next one. There was a great sense of camaraderie as we held up our signs, waved to the drivers and passers by. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW was the theme of the night. Not angry. Not vindictive. Just a fact. NO ONE is above the law....even if they think they are the law. According  to a Vox article dated 10/10/18: Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 32 people and three companies — that we know of. That group is composed of four former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Six of these people (including now all four former Trump aides) have pleaded guilty. I am not sure how one could still be calling this a witch hunt and yet they do.

You, sir, are the reason sexual assault victims do not come forward. You are a coward, an ignorant bully and, worst of all, a self admitted PERPETRATOR. You, who has no sense of right or wrong, will still be able to grab a few pussys but, one day, you will grab the wrong pussy and that gorgeous pussy will help put you behind bars where you belong. Until that day, women will continue to speak out in outrage and sisterhood. Contrary to your feeble minded, self absorbed belief system, WE DO THINK! And even better, we mobilize and....wait for it......we VOTE . Ps. As will our sons. We have taught them well. They, too, believe in honesty, dignity AND the right of women everywhere to live free from fear of men like you.

I have made and, for the most part, kept my commitment to keep my Facebook page free from any political statements, rants, subversive comments or even innuendo. It is not how I choose to use Facebook. But this is my blog....this IS MY BLOG. I haven't said much here but it should not be construed as lack of involvement or caring. I just have to say this and I will ask forgiveness for those of you who don't like my language or disagree but: WHAT THE HELL? Lordy, how did we get into this mess? And how long will it last? Hopefully not 4 entire years! Walls, travel bans, alternative facts, health care, Putin, pussies, women's rights, questionable appointees, racism, defunding of arts and worthy safety nets, environmental issues, fostering a complete distrust of the overall media, LGBTQ issues, alienation of allies along with a puffed up sense of self to demi-god status.
