Fran Matera, longtime comic strip artist of Steve Roper and The Legend of Bruce Lee among others, and also a veteran artist for many companies including the beloved Charlton, has passed away. The storytelling savvy of artists like a Fran Matera is increasingly missed in an industry which has gone in other directions.
