Wargaming Plans for 2019 - Not Resolutions but Aspirations

Sitting in a pub in December 2018 with some wargaming friends and talking about wargaming ideas for the forthcoming year. To hand was the reverse side of the Xmas menu and a pen which resulted in some sketching across 'the arc of time' (2000BC to 40K). The scribbles are my friends and my collections and their scales, somewhat eclectic (see below, with a [un?]healthy concentration in the Twentieth Century - land, sea and air):

Next was what projects we could each immediately undertake with the already painted collections to hand that had not yet fulfilled their "wargaming destiny" and those that would need fleshing out with more painting (see below, those nearer the top are more complete):

Outstanding for me were the following:

  • The "Greeks in Peril" 15mm Ancient [DBA] Campaign (which in one form or another is good to go)
  • 20mm WW2 Chain of Command using the existing models and painting more up
  • 1/3000 20th Century Naval Battles using GQI/II and David Manly's fast play Russo-Jap Rules [1900-1945]
  • Various shamefully un-boxed Avalon Hill [and other] period related Board Games.

Additionally:
To lead exploration in resurrecting my half finished collections: ACW (20mm) and Franco Prussian
To let others lead me into new periods: SYW and 30YW 15mm
Build up to the battle/campaign that must be done (Waterloo) in 25/28mm

Double Plus Good++:
Additionally a joint venture in WWII Western Desert in 10mm by all three amigos

Note: The consumption of alcohol had been vigorous and "in the dawn's light of day" with the hangover ringing in my ears - was any of it possible, probable or plausible in 2019?
