Here's the first of the standard questions. Why do you blog?
What's the story behind your blog name?
There is a well known apple variety, at least in England, which bears the name Granny Smith. It's green, sharp and tasty and at the risk of telling the world my married name, no prizes for guessing the connection; my kids were tickled pink when they could at last dub me Granny Apple.
Come the time when first small granddaughter began to talk, I very soon became known to one and all as Napple - hence napple notes - with lower case characters, as I'm not too pushy - I hope.
What is the best thing about being a blogger?
Once Blogland begins opening its doors, it's soon evident what a great bunch of inhabitants already reside within its limitless boundaries; funny, warm-hearted, compassionate. You name it, somebody will supply it! And brainy? Wow! All sorts and conditions of erudite beings add their particular sparkle to punctuate the more humdrum among us.
What key advice would you give to a newbie blogger?
Advice? Would I teach my grandmother to suck eggs?! No way! Get stuck in and enjoy … or does that count as advice?
What is the most significant blog post you've ever read?
So many posts have huge significance when it is obvious that their writer has laid bare their very soul; far too many to choose one, for all show such courage and strength. It's really a case of "seek and ye shall find" if you're looking for one. Triumph over adversity rules! And if you're looking for light-hearted fun, or things of beauty, there are plenty of those posts around too.
What is the most significant blog post you've ever written?
Significance, like beauty, must remain in the eye of the beholder. It's not for me to assume any thing I've written comes under this heading…
