My friend Doug, who writes the blog Scooter Guy, is taking care of his health and will now just monitor his blog for comments from friends and readers. He and I have exchanged many thoughts this year and I was extremely touched by his recent post that says: ``So many thanks to David McMahon who gave me the courage and confidence with blogging.''
