This week's interview is with Bart Raeke,

who writes the blog Crazywhack Shiznit for your Brizzle.
1. The first of the standard weekly questions: Why do you blog?
It's a way to keep writing. Plus, I do what the voices in my head my head tell me to do. Or else it gets the hose again.
2. What's the story behind your blog name?
It's an oblique Blue Man Group reference. In their routine Rods and Cones (YouTube it), the "disembodied voice" says that the process of eyesight interpretation is called by scientists the "hellawhack shiznit that happens inside your brizzle." I took it, shook it up a bit, and tried it on for size. It fit.
3. What's the best thing about being a blogger?
People actually reading my writing. Sure, I'm not getting paid for it, but it's satisfying nonetheless. Oh, and the free swag, like my Dan Mega baseball cap.
4. What key advice would you give to a newbie blogger?
Write what you know, and immerse yourself in the community for readers. If you comment, they will come.
5.
WHAT HAPPENED TO FIVE, DUDE???
6. Sorry, I took my eye off the game plan there for a second - and missed a question! What is the most significant blog post you've ever read?
It wasn't one post, but rather a series. Filmmaker Kevin Smith's chronicling of his long time friend Jason Mewes (the Jay to his Silent Bob) spiral in to heavy drug addiction and his ultimate redemption. It was about 10 posts in all, each of them long, but it was awesome.
7. What is the most significant blog post you've ever written?
You're gonna make me look now, aren't you? You Klingon Bastard. I'm going to go with this one: Release This On DVD Yesterday. I talked about it getting released, and bam, it happened half a year later. What do you mean I had nothing to do with it? Why you gotta crush my dreams, man?
Today's Sunday Roast with Bart is the fourteenth in a weekly series of interviews with bloggers from around the world.
