No Free Launch
I'm Ya Skipper, Don't Call Me Mate
As you can see, I've been delving into my archives. These shots were taken in mid-September last year, on a warm, blustery day at the St Kilda Marina here in Melbourne. I had just got my hands on this Pentax and it was a great way to get used to my first digital SLR. I just want to point out to my friend Bob T Bear that the warning in the picture below says ``No bare feet'', and not ``No bear feet''.
FOOTNOTE: The hulls are alive, with the sound of music.
Click here: Pentax K100D, Shutter speed 1/250, F11, ISO speed 200.

Trouble Bruin
Huge Bear Was Just An Easy Target
This post is dedicated to the very talented British blogger Bob T. Bear Esq. German police were called out midweek, after sightings of a huge bear, but found the beast was a giant stuffed teddy. Locals in the Black Forest region in south-west Germany rang police after they saw a brown bear in woods near the town of Titisee-Neustadt. Police, fearing another case like Bruno the bear that last year rampaged around the Alpine border region between Bavaria and Austria killing livestock, sent out a special squad to capture it. But a police spokesman said, "It had been put there by a local archery club to use as a target."
