Some Day, My Prince Will Come
Queen Victoria would not be amused. Part of Buckingham Palace is being transformed into a caravan park to mark the Caravan Club's 100th anniversary. Some 7500 specially invited caravanners will be at a special garden party hosted by the Duke of Edinburgh. He has been patron of the club since 1952. In a charming example of utter discretion, the organisation refused to confirm or deny if the Duke had ever spent the night in a motor home.

At Her Vitz’ End
Anne Get Your Gumption
Take my crown off? You’re kidding. The Queen is seen rebuking famed photographer Annie Leibovitz in a new BBC documentary. Leibovitz was preparing to take an official portrait of the monarch at Buckingham Palace and did the unthinkable, asking Her Majesty to remove her crown. Suffice to say the crown stayed on.

Email Is The Queen's Crowning Glory
Pointing out stories you may have missed: The Queen has her own email account - but she does not actually type her emails herself. She dictates them. The 81-year-old monarch, who also has a mobile phone and an iPod mini, revealed her email address at a recent Buckingham Palace garden party. At the end of a conversation with Elizabeth Saltzman, editor of Vanity Fair, the journalist said: ``We must keep in touch''. What followed was rather unexpected. ``Absolutely,'' agreed the Queen. "Here, let me give you my email address.'' Saltzman, stunned, replied, "Good lord, you use email?" The Queen did not miss a beat. "Oh yes," she continued, "but I don't actually write them - I dictate them all, of course."
