- A huge thank you to Bill Minkin for being a large part of my youth hosting the Biscuit, Rest In Peace.

Recording Notes:
- There was no test tone at the beginning of the show, kind of rare but I have seen it before.
- There are 2 locked groove Show Promo Beds with voiceovers from Bill Minkin, one with Blackfoot music the other with Triumph music, at the end of Side A. They have been encoded and moved to the end of the program.

Known Flaws:
- Some minor vinyl fuzz at the very beginning of "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme".

Editing Notes:
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LPs prior to playback.
- A carbon fiber record brush, then a microfiber disc cleaner was used on the records prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System using distilled water prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable & tone arm balanced: Needle Tracking & Azimuth set: Needle Pressure & Antiskid digitaly set:
- Computer Soundcard stereo field maximized.
- Goldwave set to record while filtering any DC Offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually and some noise reduction used depending on what best served the situation.
- Raised the volume of the commercials to match that of the music and voice overs.
- A rumble filter with an initial cut off of 50khz and a static steepness of 2 was used to lessen the needle noise on the commercials due to having to raise the volume to match that of the music and voice overs.

Other Notes:
- As a kid growing up in Detroit I looked forward to my summer trips to my cousin's house in Ypsilanti Michigan, a suburb near Ann Arbor. We used to bike ride to Ann Arbor and visit Al Nally's Music Store where I would by 8-track tapes. Al Nally's store had a studio in the basement where Blackfoot recorded Strkes. One summer in the store we heard music coming from the basement while browsing tapes. I asked the guy behind the counter who was playing downstairs and he hands me a Blackfoot Strikes 8-track and says "These guys". We listened a little longer and I bought Blackfoot Strikes and Blackfoot's Flying High as well. That's how I became a Blackfoot fan.
- Blackfoot was so named due to the Native American Heratige of 3 members of it's original line Rickey Medlocke is a mix of Lakota Sioux and Blackfoot on his father's side, Creek, Cherokee and Scots Irish on his mother's side: Greg "Two Wolf" Walker is Eastern Creek: Jackson Spires is French and Cherokee on his fater's side and Cherokee on his mother's side: Charlie Hargrett is the only original member not to be of Native American Desent.
- I find it odd that King Biscuit chose 3 songs by Triumph that were all sang by Gil Moore.
- The cue sheet lists an "Encore Medley" for Triumph but that is just what they called the ending of "Nature's Child"

Notes:
Although usually not credited on this gig, Ed King would leave the band during the tour late May of 1975, so he actually would be on this recording. I could not find a date for Skynyrd playing the LA Forum in 1975 for the Nuthin' Fancy Tour (it was a quick search I bet one of you know it though).

Original drummer Bob Burns passed away in 2015 leaving no "original" members alive after Gary Rossington passed away in 2023. Rosebud and I have stopped supporting the band touring as Lynyrd Skynyrd. Our last time seeing Skynyrd was the year before Billy Powell passed away. Just my opinion now but I would rather see Rickey Medlocke return to Blackfoot and Johnny Van Zant tour with a revamped Johnny Van Zant Band. I know Rickey Medlocke played drums for Skynyrd in the early days but is not a "classic line up" member.

Sorry but this bands touring without any original members thing came up when a friend told me that the band WAR would be playing Detroit this summer. When I explained that someone other than the original band WAR owns the name and has a line up of musicians that were never in WAR but talk like they were old members when on stage. If you want to see the real band formerly called WAR go see the band LOW RIDERS. That is the name of the band formerly called WAR and they kick ass. I went to a show that was Dr. Hook, The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Dr. Hook was just Ray Sawyer with a backing band. The Guess Who had only the original bassist. Bachman-Turner Overdrive was actually Tim Bachman's BTO with Tim being the only person who had ever been in BTO. It was cool to hear the Tim Bachman BTO songs like "I Don't Have To Hide" but I did feel cheated.

When I was a young teen I would spend a lot of my summer days with my cousin who lived in a small city next to Ann Arbor Mi. We would ride our bikes into Ann Arbor to this huge record store that was there. They had a huge selection including bootlegs, t-shirts, posters, a ticket outlet and rehearsal rooms in the basement. When bands were rehearsing you could hear them playing, this day in particular the place was just vibrating. We asked who was in the basement and the store clerk pulled out a record and said "..these guys." The album in question was Blackfoot Strikes. We hung around browsing through the store listening to the music. I wish I could say we met the band but we didn't. I did however pick up Strikes along with something else which eludes my memory. Any way that's how I came to know the music of Blackfoot. Southern Rock with Hard Rock crunch played at ear blistering volume was the soundtrack that summer.
