This is how I like my Devo served up. With a healthy dose of guitar to the music. I kind of drifted away from them when the synthesizer really took over. For me the synth stuff just sounded too mainstream New Wave for me than the Devo-lution of Rock & Roll of Q: Are We Not Men? No hate comments please, I have a lot of respect for them being able to write songs that placed on the charts. Being heard on the radio sandwiched between Quarterflash and Men Without Hats, Devo still sounded like a sarcastic parody of the Pop Charts.

Post-Punk legends DEVO still are still at it. This nice and clear recording catches the band entertaining a large audience broadcast on Canada's Much Music. The band runs through their back catalog including such classic fan favorites as "Uncontrollable Urge", "Whip It", and "Mongoloid". So if your a fan of DEVO and wondered what they were up to, you should download this show.

Even thought the DVD is listed as having lossless audio it didn't pass a lossy test so I encoded it only to MP3.

Promoting the Duty Now for the Future & Freedom of Choice albums respectively. I remember when DEVO first appeared on DKRC in 1979. Like many of the episodes I watched it with my Dad. The spastic, quirky movements of the band, along with the some times atonal quality of the music, made an impression to say the least. My Dad sat quietly through the whole performance. When it ended my Dad stood up, shut off the TV and asked, "You listen to these guys son?" I replied "Yeah Dad I have both their records." My Dad looked at me and said, "Now I know You smoke dope."

This is a great performance and should make a fine addition to any DEVO fan's collection.
