justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit track marks and adjust the volume. There is some fuzz between "Crazy Train" and "Paranoid", it sounds like a broadcast noise. There is no music lost as it occures between the tracks.

This DVD version of Ozzy Osbourne's set from The Moscow Music & Peace Festival has more songs on it than my FM version shared here. However the FM version does have a better sound.

Known flaws:
1. Static during “(introduction)” and start of “Phase Dance”.
2. Missing track marker (d1t07 at about 9:34) for “Jaco”.

Recording notes:
WLIR/WRVR broadcast, Pre FM source. This recording is directly from the broadcast truck’s soundboard, not the house board. The original Maxell XL-2 dolby cassette master was recorded on a Nakamichi 550 and has been transferred (in 2002-09) to CD via a calibrated Nakamichi CR7a through an SBM1 to a Lynx card. Edited and mastered in SoundForge.

In 2014, Nguyên Lê, together with Michael Gibbs and the NDR Bigband, released Celebrating The Dark Side Of The Moon. At the 2018 Estival Jazz in Switzerland, he performs the album with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. This is the first time Nguyên Lê has performed this Tribute with an orchestra. Celebrating Of Dark Side Of The Moon features Jazz Arraignments for the albums songs. This performance actually includes a couple original compositions that were inspired by the album as well.
I previously posted another performance of Celebrating The Dark Side Of The Moon that was very popular. If you liked that one you want this one as well. If you didn't download the last post it is still available on the blog here.

from the bootleg zone:
The MC5 live at the Kulttuuralo, Helsinki, Finland, on 17 November 1972. Presumably recorded for Finnish TV (in black and white, which seems odd, as colour TV was introduced in the UK in the late 1960s, and it would be surprising if northern Europe was far behind), there is a time counter at the bottom of the screen throughout - the picture is, well, it looks like old TV footage! The sound is very good. This European tour came at near the end of the road for the band, which would perform its last show a few weeks later at the Grande Ballroom, site of their triumphant shows recorded for the incandescent "Kick out the Jams" album in 1968 - but the last show, on New Year's Eve 1972, was a dispirited affair to a very small crowd, with one of the band leaving well before the end to go off and get a fix. Anyway, back to this one. After touring and recording in Europe a few times that year with indifferent success, two of the band baulked at yet another trip, leaving only Fred "Sonic" Smith and Wayne Kramer to keep the flag flying (bass player Michael Davis had been sacked earlier). Dave Hughes had joined the band on a semi-permanent basis on bass, and Jay Scharma joined the tour on drums - as Hughes later put it (in the "Testimonial" documentary), "it was the MC2, plus one, plus one". Wayne Kramer reminisced in the same documentary that these shows were the pits, with having to sing lead vocals in Rob Tyner's absence, and not even knowing some of the words, having never sung lead vocals before. The show plods early on, but it does pick up for the last two or three songs. But pro-shot MC5 footage being almost as rare as rocking-horse shit, it's hard to pass up on something like this...

Wormed is a Technical Death Metal band from Madrid, Spain. I was quite surprised to find a pro recorded soundboard of the band let alone a pro recorded DVD. Here it is a broadcast quality recording of a Death Metal band deep from the Underground. Wormed play a type of Death Metal with fast picked technical riffs, guttural vocals, and lyrics that are about science instead of gore. If you have downloaded any Death Metal from here before and liked it I highly recommend this one, you won't be disappointed.

This is a great sounding recording for being sourced from a VHS. The performance is fabulous, with an extra emphasis on the Jazz aspects of the bands sound, including new arraignments for some songs. Also it must be noted that Jazz Greats Cornelious Bumpus, Chris Potter, & Bob Sheppard are the bands horn section. A horn section made up completely of saxophones. Also of note is Warren Bernhart on piano. Another thing is the setlist which is not your average Greatest Hits set but more a celebration of a wider selection of Becker & Fagen's song writing talents.
