Known Flaws:
- Like all King Biscuit Flower Hour vinyl sets I have done there was a big difference in the volume between the commercials and the rest of the show. Raising the volume of the commercials created louder needle noise which had to be dealt with in editing.
- There are a lot of small markings and scuffs on the vinyl surface. Some superficial but some were audible and had to be dealt with in editing.

Recording Notes:
- There were two show promo beds at the end of Side B. They were encoded and moved to the end of the program.
- This King Biscuit Flower Hour release did not have a test tone for setting levels, which is a rarity in itself.
- The first portion of the show, Eddie Money at Keil Auditorium has no Bill Minkin introduction after the commercial break. The "House MC" introduces the show as live on the King Biscuit Flower Hour before introducing Eddie Money another rarity for a King Biscuit Flower Hour release.
- The first Promo Bed has Eddie Money Music with Eddie Money doing the voiceover instead of Bill Minkin another rarity for a King Biscuit Flower Hour release.

Editing Notes:
- A Zerostat Positive Ion gun was used on LPs prior to playback.
- A carbon fiber record brush, then a microfiber disc cleaner was used on the records prior to playback.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- LP cleaned with the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning System using distilled water prior to playback.
- Raw transfer: EQ off, treble and bass levels set at +/- zero for most accurate sound of LP.
- Turntable & tone arm balanced: Needle Tracking & Azimuth set: Needle Pressure & Antiskid digitaly set:
- Computer Soundcard stereo field maximized.
- Goldwave set to record while filtering any DC Offset.
- Recording and all editing done in 24bit/96khz.
- Preservation being key the show is encoded complete with commercials and voiceovers.
- Declicked manually and some noise reduction used depending on what best served the situation.
- Raised the volume of the commercials to match that of the music and voice overs.
- A rumble filter with an initial cut off of 50khz and a static steepness of 2 was used to lessen the needle noise on the commercials due to having to raise the volume to match that of the music and voice overs.

Other Comments:
- Warren Zevon at The Tower Theater, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was also broadcast in full on the radio. The accepted date for this concert is April 22, 1980
- The song "A Certain Girl" covered by Warren Zevon was first recorded by 1960s R&B singer Ernie K-Doe who is best known for his hit single "Mother In Law". Most 1970s Rockers know the song from The Yardbirds album For Your Love, the first to feature Jeff Beck on guitar.
- According to concerts.fandom.com/wiki/Warren_Zevon Mink DeVille was the opening act for Warren Zevon at The Tower Theater.
- Found on Ebay were a couple tickets and an autographed backstage pass for Eddie Money at The Keil Opra House September 12, 1980 to prove that date.
- Found on ConcertArchive.org were tickets, passes and a newspaper ad to prove the date of April 22, 1980 for Warren Zevon at The Tower Theater, Philadelphia, PA.

Listening to this brought back the memory of being in my teens when "Werewolves Of London" was released. It was all over Detroit radio, being one of the few Warren Zevon songs to make the charts. It was, in my memory, a big hit and part of that years summer soundtrack. I used to spend a lot of my summers hanging out with my cousins. I had been to my cousin Preston's for a few weeks and had just returned home. I walked into my bedroom to find my older brother and an older cousin sitting in my room listening to the radio. I saw the "Werewolves Of London" single on my turntable that my cousin had brought over. I turned it on and turned it up. A few seconds later my Dad walked in with a pair of wire cutters, cut my stereo's power cord and walked out. Seems my brother and my cousin were playing the song over and over till my Dad threatened to cut the power. It became a thing, if my Dad thought my stereo was being played too loud he would walk in and cut the cord. When I moved out the power cord was about 4 inches long...

My 1st exposure to Warren Zevon was when my cousin brought over the 7" single for "Werewolves Of London". After it finished I did what I always do to singles, I flipped it over to hear the B-side. After my cousin's objections that he would rather hear the A-side again I dropped the needle on "Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner". I loved it! I thought it should have been the A-side. I became a fan and looked into Warren Zevon's career as a song writer. The man is a genius. When song writers as good as Jackson Brown and Bruce Springsteen want to write with you, you know your good.
