- Near Mint vinyl 3 LP set, professionally cleaned and rinsed before purchase.
- Set did not come with cue sheets can not find any on line either.
- Records hand cleaned with Record Research Lab Super Record Wash before playback.
- Records ultrasonic cleaned before play with HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaning system.
- ZEROSTAT Positive Ion Gun used prior to playback.
- Play back was a flat transfer: EQ off, bass & treble set at +/-zero for closest sound of vinyl.
- The Vocopro CDR-1000PRO records at 24bit/44,1khz E.A.C. rips CD-rs at 16bit/44,1khz.
- Waves can confuse Trader's Little Helper lossy check spectrum of Side One Master Wave included.
- Recorder is fussy with CDs so each side recorded separately for less bad discs.
- Preservation being key show is encoded complete with commercials.
- Commercials indexed so they may be omitted if so desired.
- No noise reduction used manually declicked in Goldwave.
- Minor artifacts from vinyl playback left alone so it still sounds like vinyl.
- Volume adjusted on commercials to match live tracks.

Show was broadcast on KROQ as well. A Pre-FM of the KROQ broadcast is also available, The Fixx and New Order are on that release called KROQ Concert Vaults #13. Show date IDed by Cy Curnin stage banter.

So I thought I posted this already. Gman noticed I hadn't so I had to get it ready for all of you for this morning. This is another of the Westwood One Shows Rosebud gave me for Christmas! This was the first one I encoded and already have posted on The Trader's Den. So here it is and what a great show, too! From the first song to the last The Fixx are on point. I've been a fan since seeing the videos for "Red Skies" and "Stand Or Fall". Not sure which one I saw first, they were both in heavy rotation together so...The set is every song as a fan I would have wanted to hear and a little more. I have more Westwood One shows that Rosebud gave me that are coming up so stay tuned...

justdave's notes:
I ripped the audio with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to raise the volume, edit track marks and add a fade in/fade out at the beginning and end of the recording. No noise reduction or EQ was used. I then encoded the audio to MP3 320kbps because the DVD had lossy audio.

This is a great sounding recording and a fabulous performance. Fanatics and casual fans should definitely not miss this one! I haven't seen too many Fixx bootlegs out there.

The Fixx were all over MTV and radio in 1983. Reach The Beach, the bands 2nd album, had reached #8 on both the US & Canada Album Charts. This would be the bands most commercially successful period, releasing 2 Top Ten singles in "Saved By Zero" and "One Thing Leads To Another". The 3rd single "The Sign Of Fire" would reach #20 on the Top 40 Charts. The following albums would not do so well as the band struggled to equal their early commercial success. The Fixx still tours and records, as a matter of fact the line-up on this show, the classic line-up is still intact.
