Phoenix Vs. Beyonder--No Contest!

Because some days...

...you need to see John Romita, Jr. draw the nuPhoenix fighting the Beyonder, just because...

But first, a cosmic interlude...

I've always liked JRJR's art, especially the way he lays out pages. In some ways, he's a better whole page artist than an individual panel artist. Your mileage may vary, of course...

Goodbye, Alcatraz...

Or not...

Remember when Bendis retconned the Beyonder so he was "just" a mutant Inhuman, and not really the sentient manifestation of an entire multiverse? Good times, those, even though it never made a lick of sense in the context of any of the Beyonder stories...

Yup, mutant Inhuman more powerful than Phoenix. Got it.

Anyway, that's all I got this post. Sorry if it was kind of rambly.

Bold Fashion Choices--Trying To Make The Silk Purse

Several of this week's DC mags contain a preview of the forthcoming Superman #32.

And as much as I respect the talents of John Romita Jr and Klaus Janson...

...they actually manage to make to nu52 super-suit look even worse.

I didn't think that was possible.

Oh, and apparently we're going to find out that the nu52 version of Titano...

...is a robot.

Good heavens, why???

Because then Superman can savagely tear Titano's head off without actually killing anyone.

Because Geoff Johns.

Ye. Gods.
