Time for Morgan Edge to make everyone thinks he's still an evil clone working for Darkseid:
And now, he gets personal:
Oh, silly Lois...collaborating like that, when you should know that he's going to turn on you next!
Just for the record, from the very same story, here is exactly how "soft" Lois Lane is:
Yup, real soft, all right. She really needs "firming up." Uh-huh.
Morgan Edge, go frak yourself.
[BTW, Lois goes to investigate the "health farm," and she discovers that it's run by an insane millionaire who has her android staff hypnotize patients into leaving their fortune to the clinic and then kill themselves. But she defeats the evil death factory, thanks to klurkor and solar reflectors. Just so you know]

Morgan Edge Is Earth-1's Hugh Hefner?!?!
Morgan Edge is throwing one hell of a shindig!
"Anything goes" parties? People don't want to be "caught" and embarrassed by what they're doing? Everyone wears costumes?!?
By Rao, Morgan Edge holds cosplay orgies at his mansion!
Plus...Spider-Man is there!!!! A trans-multiversal cosplay orgy!!
How could you let this happen, Comics Code?
BONUS: Jimmy Olsen hitting on a chick while wearing his Elastic Lad suit at a cosplay orgy is pretty creepy. Especially when it turns out that she is a distant descendant of his from the future (No, really!! She is!! COMICS!!)
From DC Comics Presents Annual #2 (1983)

Manic Monday--The Day Kal-El Got WGBS Sued--Twice!!
Superman and Batman suspect that a night club mentalist named Sagittarius is involved in some shady business, but they can't prove anything.
So they decide to do what any detectives would do: run a vaguely worded news story on a major network to see if they can get a response:
Well, they get a response, all right... just not the one they were hoping for...
Well, this is a Bob Haney comic...so the heroes are neither good detectives nor good superheroes. Which leaves them nope choice but to taunt Sagittarius on the air...again. But how?
And so...
Ah, two libel suits in two days...life is good for Morgan Edge!
Fortunately, Sagittarius died at the end of the story, so the lawsuits went away...
From World's Finest #235 (1976). An Internet outage meant this post was composed entirely on my phone, so please forgive the rough edges...

Same As The Old Metropolis
An odd meeting is going on at Galaxy Communications...
NEW Metropolis?
Wait--Bruce Wayne is building "New Metropolis"??? In heaven's name, why?
So, wait...Bruce Wayne is building New Metropolis right next to "old" Metropolis, to "empty the ghettos" and "siphon off excess population"?!? Talk about the ultimate gentrification plan!! Old Metropolis keeps all the desirable residents, the dregs go to New Metropolis? (And what, you can't come up with a better name?)
This is just some pie-in-the-sky type deal, though right? It's not actually going to actually happen, is it?
You've already raised a billion? That's in 1976 $, people...
One might think that Bruce's "build a new city to put all the riff raff in" planning might have start with, oh, I don't know, Gotham City.
Then again, after Man Of Steel, they probably need a New Metropolis pretty badly...
From World's Finest #235 (1976). This story involves real estate fraud, telepaths, carny geeks, Superman reading the news on WGBS, and actual ghosts in Smallville cemeteries. Bob Haney, folks.

Clark Kent Is Mad As Hell, And He's Not Going To Take It Anymore!!
Stage One in the evil "news has been replaced by entertainment" process, despite what Scott Lobdell might want you to think, actually began 40 years ago:
Ohs nos!! Personality? In the news?!?!?! That Morgan Edge really has destroyed journalism!!!
Then, of course, there is the Stanismov acting school:
Oh, you may laugh...but the process certainly had results:
Spoiler alert: it wasn't the acting lessons!!
Nope, Lex Luthor concluded that the only reason Superman beat him every time was that Lex's overwhelming hatred of Kal-El overcame him, and the emotion caused him to be less than the perfect super-brain he is. So he found a way to transfer all of his hatred into Superman, and now the Kryptonian is a seething cauldron of anger, who makes mistakes (and livens up the newscasts).
Ah, but as per usual, Superman has a convenient out (that was set up earlier in the comic, in fairness):
Yay!!
Well, thank heavens for timely science projects that were never mentioned again!!
And thank heavens for timely critics of modern journalism, which have never EVER been made before, right, Scott Lobdell?

Clark Kent's New Travel Channel Show!
So, Morgan Edge has a new assignment for Clark Kent...

Well, Clark has some different ideas on the subject...

Tell 'em how you really feel, Clark!!
Tune in next week as Clark destroys the reputation of another country!!
This happened in Superman #297 (1976). See, Superman had been blasted by orange sun radiation, and had to giver up being Superman for at least a week, and...look, just saying "Superman in the 70s" should be enough to explain it...
