Auburn No. 654 Jeep w-Driver
Continuing our look at Auburn's series of soft rubber-like plastic military toys of the late '50s early '60s we have this neat Auburn No. 654 Jeep w-Driver. This toy I simply don't remember as a kid. I don't think either me or my friends had one of these but I'm glad to be able to have one now to flesh out my Auburn motor pool. What I really like about this is the molded-in driver which looks quite realistic - unlike those stiffly posed sitting G.I.'s used much of the time. And this guy doesn't fall out of the seat while driving through the terrain!! The Jeep measures 4" (10.16cm) L x 1 7/8" (4.76cm) W x 2 1/8" (5.39cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
