LEGO's Aragog is a clever build and I enjoyed assembling it. It builds into a substantially sized creature and has lots of operating features.

The 'Lair' portion of this set doesn't disappoint. There's enough small details for a budget-friendly set and while these photos only show two of the smaller spiders, the pics in yesterday's post show all five that were included in the set, as well as Aragog himself.

Having bought, assembled, and photographed this nifty little LEGO Harry Potter set back in November, I'm actually getting it posted fairly quickly (for me that is). While I did set it up on the Halloween train layout, for some reason I never got around to taking photos.

Ladies annnnd Gentlemen! We present ARAGOG!
Huh? Aragog? That thing?
ummm, yes. This is Aragog.
Okay, well maybe a baby Aragog, but don't tell me this is the Terror of The Forbidden Forest!
I do get it. There's only so much you can do when trying to design the Harry Potter figures to fit into a small cubby hole and this really is a clever solution to the dilemma. This figure could still be used in a Aragog's Lair setup as one of the intermediate sized spiders.
