As a kid growing up in the '50s I remember having a couple of Auburn fire & emergency vehicles - not many, just a couple - and this was one of them! I want to say mine was green but can't remember exactly. In any case, it was fun. This toy had a nice heft, was a great fit for a small kids hands, and could take a lot of abuse. If anything they have one fatal flaw - the inability to readily stand upright. Those two semi-circular tabs sticking down just under the cops feet are often times unable to hold the motorcycle up because they have a tendency to bend inwards. Too many of these toys have those two tabs broken off and that doesn't help much either. The toy measures 3 7/8" (9.84cm) L x 1 1/8" (2.85cm) W x 2 5/8" (6.66cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Auburn Rubber Company: New Set of Fire and Emergency Toys
A couple of months ago I latched on to this set of Auburn fire trucks and police car. Long time blog readers know that I've covered these before but this set was a little different. They were all in excellent condition and I didn't have the No. 524 Rescue Vehicle or No. 576 Police Car in red.
Then, a few weeks after getting the set shown above, I got a No. 520 Motorcycle Cop, also in red! Soooo, you know what that means - we're goin' to start hitting the fire and emergency stuff again here on Toys and Stuff! Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
