Safari Ltd No. 1118 Dragon Hatchlings (2012)

"Where's Hagrid? I just bought these from a stranger in town and need to know how to take of them?"

Here's a nifty little pair of dragons from Safari Ltd. Guess I'll need to get off my posterior and make some kind of cave display huh? They measure: 1 1/2" (3.81cm) D x 2" (5.08cm) W x 1 3/4" (4.44cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Safari Ltd No. 10132 Ghost Dragon 2016

I meant to post this during the Halloween season butwith everything going on around here, it just got too busy for me to do much blogging. Anywho - better late than never. This critter combines both spooky holiday decor with dragons and was perfect for this year's Halloween train set-up which BTW I know I didn't do well in posting. To make up for that I'll present the photo essay for the dragon as well as give you Y'allTube links to the final running sessions of the Halloween trains. The Ghost Dragon measures 5 1/2" (13.97cm) H x 5 1/2" (13.97cm) L Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Safari Ltd No. 10120 Glow in the dark Snow Dragon - Green

In this last series of shots I tried something different. Using an ultraviolet flashlight sold out here as a 'Scorpion finder' light, I turned off all the lights, shone the light onto the dragon for a while, then turned the flashlight off and snapped the pic. The 'glow in the dark' feature really doesn't last that long so this series of shots is way more funky than the previous set. Still, there's a couple of interesting, if not ghostly, images here. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Safari Ltd No. 10120 Glow in the Dark Snow Dragon - Blue

The next part of the photo session for this dragon was really awkward. I had the camera on a tripod then I would turn the lights off in The Cave, run back to the camera (hopefully not tripping over anything!) and quickly try and take a picture. The results shown below are interesting to say the least and a couple turned out pretty good. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Here's what the critter looks like in its natural off-the-shelf color.

Lights out blue

Safari Ltd No. 10120 Glow in the dark Snow Dragon - Natural

This will probably be the last Safari Ltd Dragon I post for a while as I don't really fancy what's left in their line. We'll see, things change. I'm gonna break this critter down into three separate post. Today we'll see what he looks like au naturel without any special lighting tricks. He measures 5 3/4" (14.60cm) L x 4 1/2" (11/43cm) W x 4 3/4" (12.06cm) H. Enjoy!
