TRAIN TIME: Bing House or Maybe Even Station (Bahnhof)

Here's one that kind of ticks me off a little. I bought this knowing the fence and gate in front were missing and thought I wouldn't see a complete example become available any time soon. Guess what? Yup, shortly after buying this a couple of complete examples became available! arrrrgh! Okay, well, so much for my impatience! This structure can be used as a house/farmhouse or even a small town Bahnhof (station). There are no station markings on it anywhere so without having any reference materials it's a fair guess this was sold as a house and my guess a farmhouse is more in keeping with its style. You'll notice the bathroom doors on the bump-out which could indicate a later addition to a house built during pre-plumbing times OR a public building of some sorts (ummm, like a station). It measures an overall 8 1/4" (20.95cm) W x 5 7/8" (14.92cm) D x 6 3/4" (17.14cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

TRAIN TIME: Bing Grade Crossing with Gatekeeper's Cottage

Here's a gorgeous grade crossing with gatekeeper's cottage from Bing. Again, because I have reference books on Bing (unless I have one buried out in The Cave that I totally forgot about) there's no reference or part number or year(s) of manufacture for this.  And apparently I forgot to take any other notes three years ago when taking these photos. The bell is a wind-up and when the train rolls over the track a lever is actuated by the weight of the train thus ringing the bell. The semaphore and crossing bars are manually operated. Enjoy! TRAIN TIME: Bing (?) Karl Bub (?) Goods Depot

After bouncing this around a few fb groups the consensus was that it is Bing - sort of, maybe - could also be Karl Bub. Here's the rub: it's not marked with a manufacturer's name and this building was copied by several companies using the same stampings but with different lithography or perhaps without the loading dock. It measures: 10 1/8" (25.71cm) L x 3 1/16" (7.77cm) W x 3 1/2"  (8.89cm) H. If anyone knows absolutely for sure who made this drop a comment below please - Many Thanx! Enjoy! Opa Fritz
