A comparison of original and repo wheel sets. On top is the original Marx bronze car with wheels that fit to the outside of the axle supports. On the bottom is a Marx of Miami repo car with wheels to the inside of the axle supports. These same repo wheel sets appeared in a number of repo Marx cars, not just the futuristic ones

Marx Futuristic Car #2 - Red HP

Here's the second of four futuristic cars Marx produced in the 1950s. This one is in a nice red hard plastic and measures 5" (12.7cm) L x 1 7/8" (4.76cm) W x 1 1/4" (3.17cm) H. I took these photos back in 2013 and fortunately they were among those that were saved on my laptop when we lost our PC's hard drive a couple of years back so I didn't have to dig out the toy and re-photograph it. It was my first original Marx futuristic car purchase and it took three more years for me to get the other three! - okay, I admit I wasn't looking hard either :-)  Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina
