Vintage Dino Profiles: Marx Revised Trachodon

The revised Trachodon is easy to spot: Original = right foreleg down Revised = right foreleg up. The tail and head position are also changed slightly but it's the position of the right foreleg which is easier to spot. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Vintage Dino Profiles: Marx Trachodon

The Trachodon (meaning: rough tooth) was a Late Cretaceous hadrosurid (duck-billed) dinosaur herbivore whose fossils were found in Montana back in 1856 and then later in Wyoming and Mexico. The Trachodon naming  is both dubious and convoluted but for this post we'll simply go with the toy as prodcued by Marx back in 1957 along with their name. Hadrosaurs, T-Rex, Struthiomimus', Pteranodon's would all have been contemporaries. The toy measures 5" (12.7cm) L x 3" (7.62cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
