Marx Swoppet Style No. 99 'Space Explorers' Set (China)

Well I'm stoked! I had wanted a carded set of the Marx spacemen and while there none of the Marx-branded spacemen to be had at the moment, this set of modern era, made in China knock-offs became available and I snatched it up. It's great not only as a tie-in to the Marx Swoppet style guys but also a nice addition to my rack toys. The set includes the three spaceman poses, a spaceship, and what they call a 'space bullet'. The space ship's canopy opens up and there are clips on the floor to accommodate the astronauts feet. The 'space bullet' is attached to a collapsible bulb that, when hit hard, launches the projectile. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

I tell you what - if you're a stickler for uniformity, collecting Little Green Army Men and Spacemen will drive you up a wall! I love collecting these little guys and photographing them in set-ups or diorama's but it does get tricky going through the tote bins of figures and matching sizes. One of these decades I should do a comparison photo of the various sizes of spacemen I have in the collection just for the heck of it. For now though - Enjoy! Opa Fritz
