Payton Products, Inc. Little Green Army Men - Pt 54 Miscellaneous Vehicles Pt 2 Delivery Van - Yellow SP

First up is this 'Delivery Van' in yellow soft vinyl plastic. These are copies of Renwal's van which was made in a hard styrene plastic. The van measures 4.125" (10,47cm)  x 1.5" (3,81cm) W x 1.125" (2,85cm) H.

'DELIVERY VAN' is molded on the roof but is a bear to make out in the photograph

The trucks have 'PAYTON PRODUCTS, INC.' molded underneath, but they were - for me - practically impossible to photograph regardless of the color of the truck. Anywho, the markings are there.

No. 93 Delivery Truck - Blue HP (1953-54)

The last time I posted one of these Renwal hard plastic delivery trucks was back in 2015, not long after the blog started. That one had painted chrome trip and was No. 2093. Today we have an unpainted version and its  No. 93. It measures 4" (10.16cm) L x 1.5" (3.81cm) W x 1.25" (3.17cm) H. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

American Dimestore #30060 Milk Truck

I stated in yesterday's post that I had no real recollection of an ice cream truck trolling through Da Hood where I grew up but I do remember the milk truck. Even though there was a good store right across the street from us, mom still got orange juice delivered right to the door and it came by way of the milk truck. But if memory serves me right it was a Divco brand truck. I don't know what real life truck this is modeled after, if any, but the American Dimestore toy is based on the old Ideal No. I-4790 Delivery Van featured on Feb 2. The American Dimestore version is not an exact repo though as it is smaller and doesn't have operating rear doors, and the Ideal Van has a driver in the seat while the American Dimestore version only has the seat. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

The Ideal I-4790 Delivery Van is about 1/3 larger than the American Dimnestore version
