Finally, we get to see Nasta's Wild West Playset, all set-up and ready to play. This set is all action: two opposing forces shooting it out in the wild, wild, West - no ladies in broad skirts hauling groceries, no town drunk wobbling through town, no blacksmith making horseshoes. No, this is about a battle to the finish. I feel sorry for that poor covered wagon getting caught in the middle of all this! Who will win? That's your call! The playset comes with an 18" (45.72cm) x 24" (60.96cm) playmat and that's how I set it up - everything is placed within the confines of the mat. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Nasta Industries, Inc.: Wild West Playset No.2709 (1980) - Pt 6 The Teepee
If you have an Old West town you need a teepee to go with it, that's some kind of unwritten law among toy makers. Nasta's teepee (also spelled 'tepee') is a simple affair with three fold lines or creases in it to facilitate folding into a triangular cone shape measuring 4 1/2" (11.43cm) H x 3 1/2" (8.89cm) W. Two tabs and slots help hold the thing together. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Nasta Industries, Inc.: Wild West Playset No.2709 (1980) - Pt 5 The Store
The backbone of any town is it's General Store, sometimes called a Mercantile or - as in this case - simply "Store". Generally the owner's name would precede the word 'store'. These were often times one-stop shops for anything from canned goods, to nails, to flour, to clothing. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Nasta Industries, Inc.: Wild West Playset No.2709 (1980) - Pt 4 The Sheriff
No Western Town would be complete without a place to lock up the desperado's. Nasta's town is no exception. Now all I need is a gallows or hanging tree! LOL Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Nasta Industries, Inc.: Wild West Playset No.2709 (1980) - Pt 3 The Bar
This building from Nasta's Wild West playset was a little bit perplexing. I think we all understand that "drinking establishments" went by several names: bar, tavern, pub, watering hole, etc. But when we think of one of these businesses in an Old West setting, the term that comes to mind is "Saloon" not "Bar". Apparently whoever did the artwork wasn't conversant in Old West lore. Still, it's a nice addition to my Western collection. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
