Sometimes I get toys in as part of job lots and really have no use for them, but photograph them anyway and then give 'em away. Here's one I kept just long enough to photograph because it was in really good shape, then gave away to the thrift store. It's a non-transforming Hot Wheels-type Transformer. Yup, just a diecast car with an image of Lockdown molded underneath that came with a bunch of other stuff. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

Bandai GoBots Diecast F-4 Phantom Leader MR-51 1985
I'm not really into Transformer-like toys although a few have made their way into The Cave and harassing my other toys :-) No, the reason I bought this was because it was an F-4 Phantom. For some reason the F-4 Phantom was a pretty much neglected airplane among toy manufacturers. There are a few out there to be sure but other planes seem to have stole its thunder. That's a shame because the real plane, first developed for the Navy for aircraft carrier use and then adopted by the Air Force and Marines, has been in service since 1960 but try to find a toy Phantom made by any of the Big Name toy companies during the '60s or '70s!
Okay, on to the the gizmo. This version of the F-4 was made in 1985 and is rather small at 3 3/4" (9.52cm) L x 2 5/8" (6.66cm) wingspan x 1 1/4" (3.17cm) H (all dimensions are with the aircraft 'tucked-in'). It's a clever little addition to the fleet and can do double duty alongside my other Transformer-ish toys. Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Hasbro 2010 #10961 Transformers - Lockdown
Normally I would never buy a diecast Transformers car like this as I'm just not that big a fan of the franchise. The movies were okay and all, but if anything I s'pose buying the toys that actually fold out and transform from vehicles, aircraft, etc., into robots would be my choice. That being said, this came with another car that I wanted and they were pretty cheap so why not just take pics of the car and post them right? After all, it's in pretty decent shape and there's a lot of folks out there who do like them so why waste an opportunity. Here it is, the Hasbro diecast version of Lockdown from 2010. Enjoy!
This reminds me of the Corgi Chassis Art Batmobile's that came out in 2004-2006
