PIRATES: Captain Blood vs. The Red Coats - Pt 3 FINAL

Had some car problems yesterday that took the wind out of my sails for posting anything. Speaking of wind in the sails, here's the last installment of the Captain Blood and The Buccaneer set-up with it's wonderful ships and assorted Pirates and Red Coats. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

The stockade could use more interior details but this whole setup was done without any additional pieces other than the landforms

PIRATES: Captain Blood vs. The Red Coats - Pt 1

Setting up the Captain Blood and The Buccaneers playset was the last thing I did with the Pirate toys before packing it all away. It was a lot of fun and my grand daughter even helped with the set-up! The board this was set up on was meant for our seasonal train displays but it was a lot of fun putting it to use for the playsets before breaking out the trains. Here's the first group of shots from that little adventure. Enjoy! Opa Fritz

PIRATES: CORRECTION - MPC Cannon is Marx

I was checking out the Marx Pirate section of Kent Owen Sprecher's "Toy Soldier HQ" website (link in the sidebar to the right) and discovered I was very wrong about the cannon included with the "Captain Blood and The Buccaneers" playset. It turns out that it was originally MARX not MPC! This was included as part of their Revolutionary War line of toys and not their Pirate line. It appears Marx never offered more than a set of figures for their Pirate line and never issued a full-fledged playset. Sorry for the confusion. Enjoy! Opa Fritz
