NEW SERIES: Ferrero Kinder Surprise Egg Star Wars Happy Hippos - Pt 1

Every year from 2021 (except for 2022 which I skipped) to 2025, I've done a 'May the 4th Be With You' post featuring this series of small Kinder Egg figurines from Ferrero.

I've had these for years, but never got around to photographing the set until now. The complete set consists of 10 figures, a Landspeeder, and a puzzle:

The set came out in 2002 and was based on a popular series of Kinder Egg figures called the 'Happy Hippos' (of which I have few as well). Everything but the puzzle is made of a hard plastic and, for the most part, does not require any assembly. Size-wise, they're in the 35mm-40mm range. I believe this represents the entire range of products, but I'm always on the lookout for any others I may have missed.

The Figures

The names are as much caricature as are the figures themselves

-Luke Eiwalker (translated means: Luke Egg Walker) (aka Luke Skywalker)

-Obi-Wan Hippobe (aka Obi-Wan Kenobi)

-Dark Laser (aka Darth Vader)

-Happy Han (aka Hans Solo)

-Aubacca (aka Chewbacca)

-Prinzessin Hippeia (aka Princess Leia)

-Hippoda (aka Yoda)

-H-IPO (aka C3PO)

-Erzwo Hippo (aka R2D2)

-Jango Jet (aka Boba Fett)

Others

-Luke Eiwalker & H-IPO in Schwebenden Landspeeder (translated: Floating Landspeeder)

-Puzzle

Kinder Surprise Egg #K96-N02 Mini-Moon Buggy WAS UNKNOWN MFR

Yesterday I posted this mini-Moon Buggy as being from an unknown manufacturer. I should have waited. Within a couple hours after posting this to one of my facebook (Meta) groups, a reader identified it as a Ferrero Kinder Surprise Egg toy. He got his information from an obscure (to me) website (shown below). My sample is missing the peel-&-stick applique's on either side of the canopy but that's actually a good thing because I think it looks better without them. Be Blessed and Relish Life! Ed

Unknown Plastic Flintstones Flivver is Ferrero Kinder Freude

Back on Feb 6 we posted a plastic Flintstones Flivver which, at the time, I couldn't identify. After a little rummaging aroun in The Cave I found the paperwork for it. Turns out it's  Ferrero Kinder Freude toy from Germany! Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

Ferrero Kinder Freude Kinder Surprise Egg WAS - Unk Mfr - Plastic Flintstones Flivver

*************************NEW INFO ADDED 22 Mar 2018********************

I found the paperwork for this toy out in The Cave and now know it to be one of the large series Kinder Surprise Egg toys by Ferrero

Another of my almost forgotten Flintstones toys is this nicely done plastic Flivver with figures of Fred and Wilma in the seat. I bought this years ago loose, without packaging and have absolutely no clue as to who makes it. It is 4 3/4" (12.06cm) L x 3 1/8" (7.03cm) W x 3 5/8" (9.20cm) H with a printed paper top. This along with a bunch of my other Flintstones toys is now listed on eBay (seller: marxtoynut). Enjoy! Opa Fritz and Oma Bettina

The Styroam background was saved from my old Flintstones and The Town of Bedrock train layout featured here in 2011. It has broken a couple of times and I keep re-gluing it because I still like it and use it occassionally
