OU: This is one of the very few original MOTT THE HOOPLE Boot Lp's from this era that i've never been able to find the "Source" tape from which it was made. This has been listed in most places as an FM Brodcast, but i would think by now if that was so, somebody who recorded it would have come forward with a better copy. If someone could share their Master or a "low Gen" copy of this show it would be greatly appreciated.

Warning/Disclaimer: This recording should not be confused with the series labelled "The Dan Lampinski Tapes Volume XX". This recording represents part of Dan's earliest efforts to capture the live concert experience for posterity, hence the series name "Dan Lampinski - The Early Years Volume XX". Given the very consistent high quality of Dan's later work, it would have been easy to blow off these recordings and consign them to the dustbin of history, but there are quite a few captures in the series that are well worth circulating, if not for their rarity, but for the obsessive collector types (we know who we are) that want every single second of any recordings of their favourite musicians. So please, just accept these recordings for what they are, another part of the tapestry we weave when we collect and share such things.
Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording.

Mott The Hoople: Fillmore East 1970 (G+/VG- Aud)

2
OU: I Received this recording in a trade quite a few years ago from the great norweigan mott collector Sven Gusevik, If your about on here Sven thanks for this and i hope you dont mind me putting this up!. Sounds like a low gen recording, from memory i think the original was a bit fast or slow so i tidied it up a bit using cool edit. Ripped to FLAC Level 8 with dbpoweramp.
Dave: Good recording except that the bass overwhelms the mics often.

David Bowie: The Legendary Lost Tapes 1972-73 (Live/Studio) FLAC

bowie.legendary.lost.tapes.front
Studio & Live Recordings
Lineage: SilverCD--> EAC(secure)--> Flac(level.8)--> HungerCity!
THE LEGENDARY LOST TAPES
The second issue of this material and it is a straight copy of the CD THE LEGENDARY TRIDENT SESSIONS (1998). Even if this CD is a copy of the original CD, the sound quality is a little bit better! -BASSMAN

THE LEGENDARY TRIDENT SESSIONS
Wow! Amazing stuff! A rumour has been circulating that Lou and David joined Mott at at least one session during the recording of the "All The Young Dudes" album, while they were recording Lou's "Transformer" album. Here is the proof. Bowie sings ALL THE YOUNG DUDES and Lou sings SWEET JANE. They also participate on most of the other songs, playing guitar, sax or singing back up vocals. I had a tape of this session before, and I can't understand why the running order has been changed? The sound quality is excellent, but a little bit distorted (just as on the original tape!). The Glasgow show is remastered, and the sound quality is actually very good! The boring thing is that it isn't complete, and according to the cover the cuts between the songs comes from the the original tape. That isn't true! I have the tape and it doesn't feature any other cuts than the cut between side A and B. I also doubt that ROCK'N'ROLL SUICIDE is from the Glasgow show? I have never heard of any tape that lasts longer than SUFFRAGETTE CITY. Even the songs are roughly cut on the CD, not only the space of time between them! There are two missing songs, and they are LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER / THE JEAN GENIE / THE WIDTH OF A CIRCLE should have come after FIVE YEARS. Anyway, because of the Mott session this is a great disc.
