Original comments: I'm sharing this one as many people seem to be searching for a clean copy of this recording. I downloaded it a long time ago from the hub but it came with a lot of annoying clicks and pops. I removed them with ClickRepair and I'm happy with the result.
This is the first ever concert of Queen in France. They seem really happy to get over this country that have ignored them during such a long time. There is no much to say as in my mind, this is perhaps the best tour Queen have ever made. Just listen and enjoy this great show... ;)
I rated the recording as vg+. It is very clear but there is some tape hiss which is a little bit annoying during the quiet moments or if you listen to it with headphones. It is still one of the best recordings of this tour so everyone should enjoy it.
The recording is complete. I've remarked some minor sound problems during Keep Yourself Alive. If you find other problems on this recording, just tell me...
By the way, there is still no recording of the second night so if you have it, attended it or know someone who might have recorded it, please tell...
OU comments: I have downloaded this version some time ago and I was bothered by the fact that in runs too fast. Since I couldn't find a better copy I decided to do it by myself, so I have decoded the flac files to wav, corrected the speed in Cool Edit Pro and encoded them back to FLAC with Trader's Little Helper with removing all the nasty SBEs.

Qween: London 1979 (Ex- Aud) FLAC

Complete Kampuchea Concert (front)
Complete Kampuchea Concert
Live in London, UK, at Hammersmith Odeon, December 26, 1979
Label: Gypsy Eye 137/138
Material from this show has also been released on the bootleg "Crazy Tour". It is, however, incomplete and the sound quality is inferior to this one.
Audio Source: Audience recording
Sound quality: EX - EX+ for an audience recording.

True lossless files (ripped in burst mode, but that does not affect quality unless there were ripping errors - I have spotted nothing sounding like that in the files). The tracks are expertly mastered, with nicely balanced frequency/amplitude ranges. Quite audible crowd presence that enhances the live feeling without interfering with the clear sound of music.

Lineage: Aud ? > ? > Silver Bootleg > CDR (X) > WAV (EAC) [burst mode] > FLAC (Level 8)
Artwork: Front and back artwork included, 160 DPI.
Number of discs: 2
Total Running Time: 113:51 (70:47 / 43:04)

Info: A classic Queen performance, one of their best! Includes Brian's one time performance of Silent Night during his guitar solo.

Reviews by Collectors music reviews: The Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979 represents one of the most extreme case of social engineering and genocide in the twentieth century. The communist rule initiated a program by which all were forced to work in labor camps for twelve hours a day and the wholesale execution of professionals, intellectuals, and non-ethnic Cambodians. During this time the extent of genocide in the killing fields was hard to know since they forbid outside intervention. Vietnam captured Phnom Penh on January 7th, 1979, the Khmer Rouge were forced out of power and it is estimated between 1.4 million and 2.2 million were killed over the four years.
It is in this context that Secretary General of the U.N. Kurt Waldheim asked Paul McCartney for a concert to raise funds. He agreed and three shows were scheduled at the end of Wings’ Back To The Egg tour. Queen were touring the UK on the Crazy tour which was a payback tour for ignoring their homeland on the Jazz tour, and also for their number two single “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” Queen were scheduled to play six shows at the end of the tour in London, each in a different venue: Lyceum Ballroom, Rainbow Theatre, Purley Tiffany’s, Tottenham Mayfair, Lewisham Odeon, and Alexandra Palace (seven months before it caught fire).
The band agreed to tack one more show onto the schedule for the event, playing in the Hammersmith Odeon on Boxing Day. They were the only act to play on a bill alone and did not participate in the Rochestra ending with McCartney on December 29th. Each of the four shows were both filmed and professionally recorded. The film Concert For Kampuchea released in August 1980 with two Queen tracks, “Now I’m Here” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” In April an LP was released Concerts for the People of Kampuchea which has only one Queen song, “Now I’m Here.” More footage was used for the German TV special but unfortunately the entire show hasn’t surfaced from these sources and have been out of print for twenty-five years.
Crazy Tour In London was released on LP in 1980. This is missing ”Keep Yourself Alive,” the guitar solo, and the “Brighton Rock” reprise. “Silent Night,” played during the guitar solo, is placed at the beginning of the show. This show can also be found on the vinyl Crazy Duck in 1984 which utilizes the television soundtrack. In 1999 Crazy Tour In London was pressed onto silver disc from a vinyl copy and was released complete with cardboard sleeve duplicating the original artwork. Since it was copied from vinyl, this has the same defects as the original vinyl. Complete Kampuchea Concert was released by Gypsy Eye in 2000. They use the same audience recording but a copy that sounds closer to the master tape. It is much more clearer and all of the songs are in their proper sequence. There are small cuts after ”Save Me” and ”Brighton Rock” (at least), but there are no cuts in the music and
this is virtually the complete show.
Given the level of playing, Freddie’s impeccable voice, and the meaning behind the show, Queen’s final concert of the 70’s stands as not only the greatest of their career but among the best ever. Whatever doubts the band may have had after Jazz were dispelled by the success of the latest single “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” and this confidence would be carried into their next album The Game. To have such a sublime performance in an excellent sounding tape is a tremendous blessing to collectors.
The set list is based upon the previous tour. The tape picks up with the opening electronic tone rising in pitch and with the thunder cracks the band hits the stage with a the cover tune “Jailhouse Rock,” their old encore which was added to the opening salvo after the first week. “How are you rock and rollers? Are you having a good Christmas? You feel crazy? Okay let’s do some more” Freddie greets the audience before “Let Me Entertain You.” This is a song destined to be a great opener but curiously was only played in the second in it’s short life span.
After “Somebody To Love” Freddie prattles on saying, “I know this feels like a Cecil B. DeMille production of the Ten Commandments tonight but don’t worry about the cameramen. Right now we’d like to do a song…my god it’s quiet in here. Is it always like this at Hammersmith? Are you supposed to be a sophisticated crowd?” The audience responds and cheers loudly before going into “If You Can’t Beat Them.” The early medley was changed from the previous tour. “Mustapha” made small cameos but on the Crazy tour is sung complete for the first time and “Bicycle Race” is dropped, never to appear live again.
“For those of you who don’t know, this night brings us to the end of the tour. I don’t care. We’re gonna be here all the time, don’t worry about it” Freddie says before their latest single “Save Me.” Two songs, “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “Spread Your Wings” make their last live appearance and the latter is among the best versions ever of the song. Brian May speaks about the point of the show afterwards saying, “As you may know this is a special night for charity for the people of Kampuchea.” The acoustic set is limited to only two songs. “Keep Yourself Alive” is expanded to include not only a drum solo, but May’s guitar solo including “Silent Night” for the Christmas season. They don’t return to the song but instead end with the closing verse of “Brighton Rock” in a nice surprise.
“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” was their hit single and is received so ecstatically that the audience continue singing the chorus even after the song is over. The band play along and accompany the singing mob before moving right into “Bohemian Rhapsody.” “Sheer Heart Attack” is the first encore and the audience applaud loudly when Freddie throws over the amplifier stack and the show ends with “We Will Rock You” (sung from the shoulders of Superman) and “We Are The Champions.” Complete Kampuchea Concert is one of the most important releases on the Gypsy Eye label since it is the only silver release of this great showin the proper sequence. It is a show that contains a sizzling performance in a excellent recording and is highly recommended.

Qween: Toronto 1978 (Ex- Aud) FLAC

1
art by dave
Toronto, ON, Canada
Maple Leaf Gardens
December 3, 1978

About the recording: AUD > ? > Cassette > WAV (GoldWave speed correction, edits) > FLAC level 8
OU: This is an upgrade of the Toronto audience tape. It's still a generation or two away from the master, but the EQ is more balanced, and it is the most complete version of the tape available. The best previous versions had no less than 15 cuts between songs. All of those cuts are absent here, and there is more tape at the beginning of the show than before.
There are still cuts in Spread Your Wings and Keep Yourself Alive (for tape flips, both at their respective 45-minute marks), and the cut in Somebody To Love was probably a security duck. The tape wheel turning can be heard in the left channel for the few minutes surrounding the first tape flip.
The first portion of the show was taped on a 90 minute tape, but this copy was dubbed onto 60 minute tapes. Fortunately they left plenty of overlap, so I seamlessly patched up the cuts in Get Down Make Love and during Freddie's speech before It's Late. Interestingly enough, these are the same cuts that were on older versions of the recording, but they were not so generous with the overlap, resulting in missing music.
All credit to "A Word In Your Ear" for the original tape.

1. intro
2. We Will Rock You (fast)
3. Let Me Entertain You

OU: I often read great introductions to uploads of all kinds of artists but sadly enough: not often about my favourite band Queen. I regret that because - in my book - Queen is one of the greatest live rock bands ever.
They had it all: the brilliant music, the musicianship, the charisma of Freddie Mercury (the ultimate frontman and performer),the right attitude (at any given performance they wanted to give the audience their very best), they knew how to put a fantastic setlist together, etc.
Freddie Mercury was indeed very camp and a showman but he was also very professional, always giving his all and I truly admire that about him. I regret people seem to forget that from time to time.
Now, what's special about this show? Well, it's a seventies show and sadly enough: there aren't hundreds of recordings of Queen - let alone GREAT quality recordings like this one - of Queen circulating.
That's a pity, since it are of course exactly this kind of recordings that illustrate why Queen is what I claim them to be: one of the best in their leaugue.
Here you can hear them during the Jazz-tour of 1978 and I've always loved this particular show (personally I prefer it over the Montreal recording from 2 days earlier).
An A- rating is imo the correct rating in terms of sound-quality; this of course means you can hear perfectly well what's going on and there's lots to enjoy.
There's of course FM's stage banter (see hereafter for the text of www.queenlive.Ca) and also the great atmosphere throughout the show..
Here are the notes from the WONDERFUL Queenwebsite www.queenlive.ca:
"This is the first of two nights at the Gardens in Toronto.
The band are in a very relaxed mood, as they were a couple days before in Montreal. Freddie is in a bit better voice, too. After a subtle applause following Let Me Entertain You, Freddie says, "You should've seen the audience in Montreal. They'll teach you a thing or two." Boos ensue, as there is a (usually mock) dichotomy between many things Ontario and Quebec, which he may not be aware of. He continues, "Forget the security. This is your night!"
Brian, after If You Can't Beat Them: "Thanks a lot, good people of Toronto. We haven't seen you for some time. How are you feeling? You always have some winter for us, thank you. OK, we're going to take you back some time, a few years ago, to something called A Night At The Opera." The mere mention of Queen's breakthrough record results in a great cheer from the audience. "This is a rude little song called Death On Two Legs."
Brian, before Dreamers Ball: "We'd like to say thank you for coming out in such large numbers and filling this place. We appreciate it, thank you." Freddie then urges the audience on. "We'd like you to start up a beat. Come on, any beat. Preferably this one. Yeah, come on, take all your clothes off!" His delivery of the song is a very gutsy one.
Brian, before Love Of My Life: "Thank you. A little experiment there. We're gonna bring a jazz band next time. We used to say we we're gonna bring an orchestra; we'll bring a jazz band." Freddie adds, "And a couple of strippers," to much applause. "You're into that kind of thing. Yeah, you're a smutty audience, I can tell. This is one big sleaze pit, I can tell! One track mind. That's the way I like it." He then introduces the next song: "OK, we're gonna reduce this next number right to the depths. This is a song that... it comes from A Night At The Opera, or something like that. And this is a duet called Love Of My Life."
Brian: "We enjoy doing those things for a change. Glad you enjoy it too. OK, we're gonna change the mood a little again. We would like to welcome back the rest of the group. The rhythm section featuring Mr. Roger Meadows Taylor on drums." Freddie: "Take a bow, you old tart!"
Freddie, after '39: "We really have a lot of fun doing those acoustic numbers. It's nice to get away from the real heavy rock and roll for a change. It's nice to know that an audience can take it, too. I think it's time we did something from the News Of The World album right now. This is a song called It's Late."
This Brighton Rock jam is stronger than the last one played in Montreal. There's a highlight about 12 minutes in when the band seamlessly change the tempo and the key at the same time with great results. Either this is extrasensory perception at work (not entirely impossible when a band has been playing together for many years), or perhaps they rehearsed this one during soundcheck after the somewhat lackluster jam two nights before.
Freddie, before Fat Bottomed Girls: "This is dedicated to all you people with great big ginormous fat asses."
Brian is horribly out of tune during his We Will Rock You solo (a broken guitar string, most likely). His entrance into We Are The Champions isn't his most graceful either, as he was probably upset at himself for not having delivered the iconic guitar solo from Rock You effectively. He always wanted to give the best possible show to any particular audience."
Enjoy and keep it lossless!

Warning/Disclaimer: This recording should not be confused with the series labelled "The Dan Lampinski Tapes Volume XX". This recording represents part of Dan's earliest efforts to capture the live concert experience for posterity, hence the series name "Dan Lampinski - The Early Years Volume XX". Given the very consistent high quality of Dan's later work, it would have been easy to blow off these recordings and consign them to the dustbin of history, but there are quite a few captures in the series that are well worth circulating, if not for their rarity, but for the obsessive collector types (we know who we are) that want every single second of any recordings of their favourite musicians. So please, just accept these recordings for what they are, another part of the tapestry we weave when we collect and share such things.
Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording.

OU: This is great but a bit hissy, but you'll have probably heard much worse. I certainly have! I read on www.queenlive.ca that the tape ran a bit slow and on checking myself I found that it did indeed need speeding up by 3%.
Having done that I also re-tracked the show, giving each song its own index point and adding fades to the start and end of the discs. I also moved Freddie's intro to 'The Prophet's Song' to the start of that track, rather than the end of the previous one, since it opens disc 2.
I removed about 6 minutes of between-encores clapping - I know some people don't approve of this, but the un-tampered master is still available at the address at the top of this posting. This isn't meant to be definitive, blah, blah...
Hope you like it!

Qween: Vienna Magic Part II 1986 (VG++ Aud) FLAC

This is the second night (CDs 3-4)
FRONT
Vienna, Austria, Stadthalle
Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria - July 22nd, 1986

Disc 3 (54:10): One Vision, Tie Your Mother Down, In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Tear It Up, A Kind Of Magic, Under Pressure, Another One Bites The Dust, Mustapha (intro), Who Wants To Live Forever, I Want To Break Free, impromptu, guitar solo, Now I’m Here

Disc 4 (47:24): Love Of My Life, Is This The World We Created?, (You’re So Square) Baby I Don’t Care, Hello Mary Lou, Tutti Frutti, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hammer To Fall, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You, Friends Will Be Friends, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

The sound quality for the second Vienna show is almost identical to the first night. Clear and well balanced, it is another one of the best audience tapes from the Magic tour which is making its silver pressed debute on Vienna Magic. This tape begins a bit earlier than the first night with the pre-show cheering and the entire opening tape before the band hit the stage with “One Vision.”
There are some problems with the PA for the vocals and they drop in and out of the mix until fixed. In the latter half of he song May plays a trickier solo than usual. After “Tie Your Mother Down” Freddie tells the audience, “Tonight’s gonna be a fun night I can tell you. Until I get to the piano.” He skips “In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited” and goes directly to the opening of “Seven Seas Of Rhye.”
“You’re a great group of people” before speaking about the break up rumors before “Who Wants To Live Forever?” Brian May continues his complex arrangements during the impromptu and “Brighton Rock” guitar solo and after “Now I’m Here,” and they are sitting down for the acoustic set, he plays a pretty little unique tune for “Love Of My Life.”
After “Hammer To Fall” someone requests “Mustapha” and Freddie replies, “Oh, f*** ‘Mustapha.’ I don’t give a damn!” But he quickly changes his mind and sings the intro, and then starts “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” He also remembers all of the words for “Radio Ga Ga” this night. Freddie’s departing words to the audience are “You’ve been a very special audience. We won’t forget you. We love you.”

Review: Vienna Magic (Wardour-076)
Ever since Queen’s first visit to Vienna in 1978, relatively late in their career for such an important city, they visited the Austrian capital on every tour until their last. On the Magic tour Queen played two sold out shows on July 21st and July 22nd. These were the only indoor shows on the tour and are among the best documented, both visually and aurally.
Both of these shows were taped by the same individual sitting in the a similar location. Because of these factors he produced some of the best sounding tapes from the era. They don’t have the “flatness” inherent to outdoor recordings but are very punch and lively. Queen’s Magictour was designed as a big spectacle in the biggest arenas around Europe. The setlist and performance was aimed towards that.
Hearing what was meant of the big arena in a smaller indoor venue offers a different perspective and interesting contrast to the more well known shows. The intimacy of performance is what stands out in these recordings.
Wardour pitch corrected both shows so that they run at the correct speed. The label is great at producing the exhaustive editions for Queen shows by offering both audio and video discs in one package. Vienna Magic is one of the better sounding and produced efforts for Queen’s final tour and stands as definitive along with One Sweet Moment (Wardour-032) and Thank You All (Wardour-052).
Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria - July 21st, 1986
Disc 1 (56:20): One Vision, Tie Your Mother Down, In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Tear It Up, A Kind Of Magic, Under Pressure, Another One Bites The Dust, Mustapha (intro), Who Wants To Live Forever, I Want To Break Free, impromptu, guitar solo, Now I’m Here
Disc 2 (48:18): Love Of My Life, Is This The World We Created?, (You’re So Square) Baby I Don’t Care, Hello Mary Lou, Tutti Frutti, Bohemian Rhapsody, Hammer To Fall, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Radio Ga Ga, We Will Rock You, Friends Will Be Friends, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen

The only other silver release of this show was on Live In Vienna, Austria, July 21, 1986 on SRS records, a Russian company claiming to be based in Spain. The sound quality on that release was very good to excellent but was marred by clicks between the tracks since they use a faulty cdr. Wardour is superior in every way with more clarity and a perfect transfer of the tape.
The tape cuts in during the “God works in mysterious ways” taped introduction before the firey “One Vision,” one of Queen’s best set openers which reaches an emotional peak with Freddie’s intonation of “Look what they’ve done to my dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeem!”
“Are you ready to play?” Freddie asks before they start the first medley with “In The Lap Of The Gods…Revisited.” The final song of the medley “A Kind Of Magic” elicits audible excitement in the audience.
“Another One Bites The Dust” is introduced as a “boogie” and sounds in this recording as if it is going to smash the stage into splinters when it hits the climax with the prolonged funk guitar workout by the end. Afterwards, instead of speaking about the Queen breakup rumors, Freddie sings a bit of “Mustapha” as an introduction to “Who Wants To Live Forever?”
Before “Love Of My Life” Brian May tells the audience “I remember people can sing pretty well in Vienna” while they serenade him. “That’s enough, thank you very much. It’s my birthday morgen.” The entire acoustic set, including the classics, is very well recorded and provides an unusually intimate moment in such a massive show. The show ends with a fun version of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love.” In the first encore “Radio Ga Ga” Freddie forgets the lyrics in the first verse (the same place as in Cologne) and mumbles his way through.

Qween: Stuttgart 1984 (VG+ Aud Master) FLAC

This is the pre-bootleg audience master!
qn1-2
another genuine weizman master - 25 YEARS AGO

Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle
1984-09-27

Lineage: Aiwa CM30 > Aiwa HS-F1 > Compact Cassettes (2 x TDK SA C90)
Cassette master > Aiwa HS-F1 > Zoom H2 > SD-Card Reader > harddisc > Soundforge 9.0d (track splitting, fades) > TLH (flac level 8, sb aligned)

OU: I did a couple of analogue trades back in the day and somehow the recording got into the hands of some bootleggers who manufactured a 3LP set named DYNASTY from it.
So this is the master for DYNASTY - first transfer to digital from the original master cassettes.
Includes "Is This The World We Created?" and "Love Of My Life" which were omitted from the 3LP set (maybe the bootleggers left them out because both tracks are incomplete on the master).

Here you'll get two versions:
1) Only the tracks which come from the master cassettes. That means "Is This The World We Created?" and "Love Of My Life" are incomplete. Simply use tracks 01 to 16 from the folder "CD1" for CD-burning.
2) If you want to have the complete show use tracks 01 to 14, 15a and 16a from the folder "CD1" for CD-burning. I patched the missing parts from an alternate recording of the show (1st gen) using Soundforge 9.0d for the crossfades. (Don't ask me for the alternate source - I only got these two songs from it.)

01. Machines (Tape)

OU Notes: I had to share this it's fabulous. From a tape recorded by Dan Lampinski and recently shared at Dime by Carl Morstadt I just made it run at the right speed as it was too fast. Download this, I guarantee you'll love it - unless you hate Queen, in which case, why are you reading this? The sound quality is phenomenal for a 1976 audience recording rich bass, clear treble, stereo separation and all and it's a heck of a gig. Everybody's on top of their game.I made some artwork as well. - Thomasbirch 2009

Dan Lampinski recorded over 100 concerts in the Providence/Boston area, mostly between 1974 and 1978. His earliest recordings were made with an internal microphone deck, and though they are somewhat lo-fi compared to his later work, some very great moments in rock history were captured for posterity. In late 1974 he bought a Sony TC-152SD tape recorder, a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone, and began using Maxell cassettes. He was also fortunate enough to have a friend who provided excellent taping seats for many shows, resulting in high quality recordings. In 1977, he switched over to a Nakamichi 550 tape recorder, two Nakamichi CM-300 microphones, and continued using Maxell cassettes.
He recorded many of the major 70's bands: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, ELP, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Al Stewart, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Bruce Springsteen, Supertramp, Jean-Luc Ponty, Moody Blues, Neil Young, The Faces, Rush, Rick Wakeman, Kansas, as well as several "under the radar" acts.
Dan was very meticulous about taking good care of his tapes and is very pleased that these recordings will now circulate among the trading community. Please honour his kindness and generosity by sharing these recordings freely.
Always remember - the more generous you are with your music, the more it comes back to you.

OU Notes: Well, this seems be one of the Queen' rarest vinyl bootleg, at least in this form of original Sweden vinyl press (priced at $240), in 1983 reissued on vinyl as Holland press (already rare) and finally transfered on CDs. This is the rip of the 1st vinyl press from original Sweden matrix.
Sound quality: very good audience recording, microphones places a little too distant from stage, the vinyl condition is perfect for all 4 sides. I've not altered the original album sound, just applied a "soft" Steinberg declicker (single pass - default setup). No equalization.
Artwork: Outside & Inside Sleeve with A-B-C-D labels
Have fun!

The band spend a few minutes improvising before Save Me tonight, during which Freddie does a vocal exchange with the audience, using bits he used to do during Now I'm Here on previous tours. He also sings the words 'Keep Yourself Alive' a couple times towards the end.
Before Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Freddie leads the audience through a couple choruses of Teo Torriatte, done acappella. The second time around, Brian plays the chords in the background on his acoustic guitar.
Freddie sings "Jump, jump, jump to it" a few times in the middle section of Another One Bites The Dust. His favourite singer was Aretha Franklin, and this is the chorus of the title track off "Jump To It," released just a couple months earlier.

Qween: Hippodrome 1973 Complete (3 Source) FLAC

sr746444872-front
Venue: Golders Green Hippodrome, London, UK
Date: 13. September 1973

OU Notes: This is a 3-source compilation of this great recording. This is the oldest Queen live recording which made it to the bootleg market. Two older recordings are rumoured - Ewell College 1971 and Marquee Club 1972, but it seems that Ewell College doesn't exist (the recording is actually a slowed-down version of the rock'n'roll medley coming from this concert), and the Marquee 72 recording was sold to Queen Productions (but they claim now that the don't have it), which means that this is the oldest Queen show we can get.
The performance is incredible. The sound quality is absolutely excellent, the only problem is that Freddie's vocal is mixed too low, it sounds like the band is standing right before you, but Freddie sings from another room. But still it's very enjoyable.
This show was bootleged many, many times, but never in complete form. The most complete version comes from the "Digital Queen Archives" bootleg called "Queen Will Be Crowned", which misses one line from the introduction, and has a couple of small few seconds cuts. When this recording was shared on QueenZone (http://www.queenzone.com), QZ user "stark" remastered it and shared it again.
This remaster was used by me in this project as "source 1".
My "source 2" was a different rebroadcast of this show, I used only one line from the intro from this source.
My "source 3" comes from the "Wardour" silver bootleg called "Pop Spectacular". This recording has much, much better sound quality then all other recodings, because it comes from a BBC Transcription disc. The bad thing is that it misses a big part of Son And Daughter, some speeches, See What A Fool I've Been and all songs after Liar.
I have used all 3 sources to create this compilation which is now for the very first time COMPLETE and every track has BEST AVAILABLE SOUND QUALITY.
The editing was done in Cool Edit Pro. The final wav file was split to single tracks, which were SBE fixed and encoded to FLAC with Trader's Little Helper. TLH was also used for FLAC fingerprints. I have added an Audiochecker log file.
Enjoy

Thin Lizzy & Qween: Seattle 1977 (VG+ Aud) FLAC

qtl76front
Title : Live in Seattle
Venue : Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, Washington, USA
Date : 13. March 1977
Lineage : master reel @ full track mono (Tandberg Model 11 R2R deck, Sony ECM-22P
microphone) > Wavelab (wav24/96 > wav16/44) > FLAC > WAV > Cool Edit Pro
(equalisation) > WAV > FLAC
Taper : JEMS
Quality : Excellent -

Musicians :
Thin Lizzy
----------
Philip Lynott - bass guitar, vocals
Brian Downey - drums
Scott Gorham - guitar
Gary Moore - guitar

Queen
-----
Freddie Mercury - lead vocals, piano, tambourine
Brian May - electric guitar, backing vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo
Roger Taylor - drums, backing vocals, tambourine
John Deacon - bass guitar, triangle

Notes: Thin Lizzy
An excellent sounding but incomplete JEMS master recording. This show captures Thin Lizzy touring in support of the Johnny The Fox album as an opener for Queen. Unfortunately the recording is incomplete because only one reel was put aside to tape the opener this night and once it ran out that was it. This is one bad ass recording and balls out performance that captures the energy and passion of a live Thin Lizzy show during what later was coined their classic era.

Queen
Yet another in a long line of JEMS master recordings. This recording captures Queen touring in support of the A Day At The Races album in superb sound quality. Unless our research is incorrect this is the first time(June 2009) this recording has never been circulated complete (previous known versions are missing Tie Your Mother Down, Stone Cold Crazy and Keep Yourself Alive), in the correct running order and from a non LP bootleg source.

OU Remaster:
A copy of this recording was released on LP bootlegs, this is the first time when the original complete recording comes out. Unfortunately this master copy sounds much worse then the LP bootleg, which is pretty unusual. The original master was really heavy in the bottom end, while the LPs sound really clean.
That's why I played with the equalisation a bit in Cool Edit Pro, the result sounds much better to my ears. If you're one of the people who don't like making any changes to the masters, especially equalisation, this remaster is definitely NOT for you. However if you prefer clean sound, enjoy this one.
I have also re-edited the tracks, because Jailbreak and Brighton Rock were originally split into 3 parts, and the rock'n'roll medley was in one file, now it's split more logically.

Qween: Puebla, Mexico 1981 (VG+ Aud) FLAC

qpm81d1-front
Puebla, Mexico
Estadio Cuauhtemoc
October 17, 1981

This is a mix of two sources from the first night in Puebla. There are still a few parts missing between songs, but this is most likely the best quality and most complete version of this concert we'll ever hear. About 95% of the show comes from an almost excellent first generation tape, and I filled in the gaps with an inferior source. The better source was shared at Queenzone last year in mp3, but luckily I managed to track down the lossless version.

Source 1 lineage: AUD > Master > 1st generation tape > WAV > CDR (1) > WAV > FLAC frontend (level 8)
Source 2 lineage: AUD > Master > cassette (x) > WAV > CDR (x) > WAV > FLAC frontend (level 8)

Disc 1:
Speech
Overture
We Will Rock You (fast)
Let Me Entertain You
Play The Game
Somebody To Love
Killer Queen
I'm In Love With My Car
Get Down, Make Love
Save Me
Now I'm Here
Dragon Attack
Now I'm Here (reprise)
Love Of My Life

Disc 2:
Keep Yourself Alive
Drum Solo
Guitar Solo
Flash
The Hero
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Bohemian Rhapsody
Tie Your Mother Down
Another One Bites The Dust
We Will Rock You
We Are The Champions
God Save The Queen

Priceless moments: During the middle of NIH, Freddie reacts to the rowdy audience throwing shoes at the band: "Feels like bloody Chelsea Cobbler, I tell you!" (for those who don't know, Chelsea Cobbler is a men's shoe store in London). And at the end of the show, he says "Thank you for the shoes! Adios amigos, you motherf^ckers! You bunch of tacos, goodbye!" However, it's worth noting that on the second night, these were his closing words: "Thank you for being a totally different audience tonight. We all thank you." The stories often circulate that Queen's concerts in Mexico were horrible for the band, but the bootlegs reveal that it was just the one concert in Puebla that gave them problems. Fans who attended the Monterrey show have also said their concert went smoothly. As for what happened in Mexico outside the concert venues, that's another story!
