OU Notes: My original tape had a weaker left channel after I'm Eighteen and that continued throught the recording until Elected. I mixed the right channel into the left channel and evened out the volume level. Had to reduce the left channel volume by 3db for Elected and School's Out and mix in some of the left channel into the right due to tape flaws. No Noise reduction used. Tape played back with Dolby Off. Edit made between Gutter Cat and Street Fight due to tape flip.
This is a new transfer and seed of a show I previously torrented a few years back. I wanted to re-visit some old tapes because back then I thought noise re-duction was a good idea, since then I have changed my opinion about that issue. As well, I have upgraded some equipment so why not try and upgrade these old shows a little bit.

The Commish notes: I was going through some discs I had lying around and I stumbled upon this show that was sent to me a while back by my buddy, Jetrell69. I think this Cincinnati show had been on the tracker at one point in the past, but since it seems to have fallen off, I figured I'd upload it for anyone who doesn't already have it. I can't say I'm a big Alice Cooper fan, but I will say this: The sound quality on this is very good, so for that reason alone this is a good pickup for any Alice fans. Dan Lampinski recorded over 100 concerts in the Providence/Boston area, mostly between 1974 and 1978. His earliest recordings were made with an internal microphone deck, and though they are somewhat lo-fi compared to his later work, some very great moments in rock history were captured for posterity. In late 1974 he bought a Sony TC-152SD tape recorder, a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone, and began using Maxell cassettes. He was also fortunate enough to have a friend who provided excellent taping seats for many shows, resulting in high quality recordings. In 1977, he switched over to a Nakamichi 550 tape recorder, two Nakamichi CM-300 microphones, and continued using Maxell cassettes.
He recorded many of the major 70's bands: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, ELP, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Al Stewart, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Bruce Springsteen, Supertramp, Jean-Luc Ponty, Moody Blues, Neil Young, The Faces, Rush, Rick Wakeman, Kansas, as well as several "under the radar" acts.
Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording.
Dan was very meticulous about taking good care of his tapes and is very pleased that these recordings will now circulate among the trading community. Please honour his kindness and generosity by sharing these recordings freely.
Always remember - the more generous you are with your music, the more it comes back to you.

Now you guys are going to have to help me out here I don't think i know any of the names of these songs As much as I love the Alice Cooper Band this is much too early for me, and it really doesn't sound like the Alice I know.

The quality is only vg to vg-

Still I love Vinnie's opening line, "can I get this turned up a little, I'm no Janis Joplin". Song 3 here remind me of early Pink Floyd with Syd at the helm; song four has a King Crim son feel to it.
This is a radio broadcast and there is a hum or phasing throughout the whole thing maybe a bad feed or poor reception though when Vincent speaks it comes through clear - maybe they just had equipment problems
Side 2 song one the only song on this side which sounds very clear until the singing starts, (hey this may be the first punk rock concert, (ha ha)

Here we have a vintage Alice show from when they were the kings of the rock world. A number of shows from the '73 tour appear to have been soundboard recorded with Dallas and Houston being the most commonly known appearing in edited form on the Billion Dollar Babies Deluxe Edition.
Recorded one month later, the Minneapolis show seems a bit looser than those two but contains the same high level of energy and fun throughout.
I have edited out the 2 pre-recorded classical transition pieces "Night On Bald Mountain" as well as the closing "God Bless America" recording.
Quality is very good, there is a very slight high pitched hum during "Billion Dollar Babies" and just a bit of "Elected" it then goes away, not really noticeable unless using headphones and can easily be adjusted out with a bit of equalization on playback (I didn't even really notice it until I used headphones).
