In the liner notes for other versions this recording has been described as "effectively a mono soundboard recording"
This "1965 Revisited" version differs from other recently circulating versions in that it sounds unprocessed (retains natural tape hiss) and lacks overdriven vocal distortion. It sounds like it's very close to correct pitch but may be a tiny bit sharp.
For pitch comparison listen to Bob's 1964 performance of "Hattie Carroll" on the Steve Allen show (search on YouTube).

"A great performance previously available on "The Circus Is In Town"; while the sound quality differs, it is hard to say which is better. The sound on here has a bit more hiss but appears more natural. Anyway, you need to have one or the other, if not a tape."
