OU: It was a last minute decision to go and see this show. My friend (Bill) and I went to the ticket booth just prior to the show and were sold 2 GREAT tickets, nice and close and near the center. No hassles at all in sneaking the equipment into the venue. The show was already in progress by the time we got situated and so this disc is missing “Well May The World Go”.
I remember our seats being on the outside of our row and having quite a few people brushing past me to get to their seats causing me to be moving the microphone’s hiding under my jacket.
NERO wave editor was used for removing most of these sections and the loudest clapping during the audience applause sections. Once these distracting noises were removed this tape became much easy to listen too. The final editing was to trim the length down so that this 82-minute show would fit on one disc.
To do this the applause sections were shortened a little more than I would have liked
and a section where Pete is tuning his guitar was also removed allowing this to fit on a single CDR.
The sound quality is Very Good to Excellent - with some hiss in the quieter sections (no dolby) and a bunch of shuffeling noises.

The Under Table Tale...
This recording has another sad story about trying to get the equipment into the club.
Almost caught at the door, the first attempt to sneak the equipment in was a failure.
I told them the bag contained my car stereo and I would just take it back to the car.
Once in my car I had to devise some trick.
So returning to the club with the recorder stuffed in my pants and my real car stereo
in the bag I told the doorman (who was the manager) that I had decided to check it in anyhow.
He didn’t buy it and watched me like a hawk for the entire first show.
For nearly an hour and a half that recorder was cutting off the blood flow to my legs.
Near the end of the first show the manager finally gave up watching me and that gave me a chance to set up the recording equipment in secret but by this time the first show was almost over.
During the break the manager returned and sat a few feet away from me again. So to record this show we were forced to hold the microphones UNDER the table.
The tape had some wild volume fluctuations in the first couple of songs as I was trying to set the levels without really looking under the table.
Not being able to monitor the recording levels during the show resulted in an over-recorded tape (+3dB) which produces a distorted sound that gets better and worse during the tape.
Some liberal use of the NERO wave editor has reduced the volume fluctuations and many of the noises caused by bumping the microphones during the quieter parts.
The first 2 songs are rough going in and out of stereo but overall this is.......
Very Listenable but not the High Quality Recording I had expected to come home with.
