MORE ABOUT EMPTY FULL SPACE AND THEIR DEBUT ALBUM

Empty Full Space consists of Nico (guitars, vocals), Flo (drums, backing vocals), Edgar (synthesizers, percussion), Antoine (bass), and Max (guitars). With just one year on the Parisian music scene but boasting dozens of vibrant performances, the band has drawn inspiration from legends like Hawkwind and Can, as well as contemporaries such as King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Osees and Maragda, to shape their unique vision of psychedelia, kraut-rock, and garage.

"Amnesia" and "From The Limbo" serve as the first two singles into their debut album, 'From The Limbo' - full private listening -, with a release scheduled for March 20. This inaugural musical offering from Empty Full Space was recorded between Heat Studios and Pain de Mie Studio - both located in France - by Pierre Dessauny and Djibee, respectively. The subsequent mixing and mastering took place at Fuzzface Studio in Scotland, helmed by Jason Shaw.

'From The Limbo' will be available on all streaming platforms, as well as in compact disc format and a double vinyl edition, limited to 200 copies in purple and 100 copies in standard black - both part of Spinda Records' 'Trippy Series' alongside releases from Moura, The Silver Linings, or Moundrag. Pre-order is already available through spindarecords.com and the Andalusian label's Bandcamp.

We’re honored to bring you yet another premiere this Friday. Another one coming out on that cool Spina Records label out of Spain. Together with La Habitación 235 over in Spain, we’re premiering the new Saturna single today! It’s called Your Whimsical Selfishness and comes from their The Reset album, which will be released on December 1st. The heavy psychedelic rock band is back and tries on a more progressive and metal identity for this track. Choppy, hooks abundant and with intense vocals the track promises to make December a steamy hot month!

SATURNA RESETS TO FACTORY DEFAULT

Barcelona hard pysch rockers Saturna are back, and that's always good news. 'The Reset' is the title of their fifth studio album and it's coming out on December 1, with a first single "Your whimsical selfishness" and album pre-order out today.

Let's be honest: when you receive a private listen to a yet-to-be-released album and you cannot stop listening to it over and over again, you know you're looking at something very special. Well, something similar has been the feedback received to the email sent by Spinda Records a couple of weeks ago with Saturna's new studio album. With the years, the band from Barcelona has earned a privileged situation in the Spanish hard and heavy rock scene (together with bands such as Cachemira, Bourbon, Electric Alley or Zålomon Grass) thanks to unbelievable albums and epic live shows.

'The Reset' is their new album and it will be out on December 1 via Spinda Records, in collaboration with Discos Macarras, although the advance single "Your whimsical selfishness" is available as from today, at the same time that pre-orders for the album in its physical and digital formats are up and running already) - and keep an eye on the digital edition as it includes live bonus tracks of "A national acrobat" by Black Sabbath and "Come together" by The Beatles.

 

It is evident that the band formed in Barcelona back in 2010 had enought time to grow as musicians and to write these new songs - it is with no doubt their best album to date, and with a significant different in comparison to previous ones. Everything sounds more compact and more real.
"[...] We are very happy with the result achieved for this new album. In it you'll find a mixof 70s hard rock and psychedelia, but also acoustic moments and killer riffs. We really think that this fifth album is our more eclectic one, and we cannot wait for you to give a go [...]"

Saturna headed to Analog Drive-in Studios with around 25 demos writen since the release of 'Atlantis' back in in 2019, and from there they came out with the 10 songs that were later on mixed by their usual collaborator Dani Pernas, mastered in Doctor Master, and which finally made up 'The Reset', an album whose artwork has been created by Jondix (a regular collaborator of Tool). And all this was happening at the same time that James Vieco released his studio album 'Nimaya' in 2020, and his 'Unplugged at RockSound' a few months later in 2021; the band participated with the single "Volver a empezar" (their first and only song in Spanish so far) in 'Grados. Minutes. Segundos.' boxset by Spinda Records, in addition to publishing a split album with Electric Monolith for Ripple Music US label; and without forgetting Rod's first solo album and his album with James Vieco and Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless) - both yet to be released.

We were honored to bring you their first single of their upcoming new album. And we are equally thrilled to bring you Far Enough! It’s the second single of their Refractions album to be released on March 29th! We’re talking about that grunge sensation AJEEB! The Canary Islands power trio are equally wild on this one and give you more of that alternative rock taste that Hollowed Out already showed you… Only two weeks till the album is out, but you can get as hooked as us by just watching the video below!

Their own words: “'Refractions' smells like alternative rock with high doses of fuzz and reverb. These 11 songs represent a true twist on our debut album 'Toss and Turn' and a new beginning after an extremely complex moment that we were going through... From the lyrics themselves to the way the songs were written, and even the simple fact of recording it completely in analogue, we had the objective to capture our purest and most direct essence. We intend to show that the changes that take place around us end up transforming us and forcing us to evolve from one way or another, depending on the perspective from which you look at it and how we interpret them. 'Refractions' is an album to be listened loud, letting yourself be carried away by the different moods you'll get into.”

AJEEB's new album is coming out via indie label Spinda Records, in collaboration with a bunch of other Spanish labels such as Violence In The Veins, Quebranta Records, Noizeland Records, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Bandera Records, Naife and Hombre Montaña, as well as Clever Eagle Records and The Ghost is Clear Records, both from the US. “'Visions' is the return of Fran Sánchez AKA Holy Hex, and he does so with a much more introspective, melodic and intense collection of songs than seen in previous albums. Available from December 9, 2022.

We’re honored to present to you the international premiere of the new Santo Rostro track Annual. Featured on the Spinda Records Boxset ‘Grados. Minutos. Segundos.’ that contains so much of the heavy underground in Spain. Think Atavismo, Mía Turbia, Cemënteri, The Soulbreaker Company, Domo and many more. But this is Santo Rostro and if you don’t already know how awesome they are you should first check out this track and then head over to their bandcamp site to listen to their The Healer release… And II: The Bleed… And their debut self-titled album from 2013. It’s Santo Rostro; and it’s as heavy as it is holy! Holy Heaviness!
