Back from the mountains…

We have returned from Austria… And after some initial problems getting there and a detour to grab our repaired car from a garage in Germany, we are back in one piece and recharged by all the fun we had. Great times on the amazing mountains once again. Even though the snow conditions could have been better, the sun made up for everything and so did the hotel we had. It was glorious! It will take another day or two to get through those over 200 emails for Stoner HiVe and an equal amount of Doom Charts email. But soon, we will be moving forward in proper Stoner HiVe fashion! And we might just have a review from Ronny Dijksterhuis and Madman Tony Maim waiting in line to get out to you very soon! Thanks for all the wishes and tips when we left and thank you for following along with this thing we do… 

Listening to the new Weedpecker, Truckfighers, Abrams and Black Lung today… So yes, it is good again to be back… What shall we listen to afterwards? Any tips?

We’re back from Austria! And once again, not in one piece! But not that badly hurt… Just a minor concussion, sustained on the final day. So, we had great fun and much better snow conditions and weather than expected. It was glorious! Now, only some 250 emails for Stoner HiVe to go through and a huge bunch for all the other accounts as well. But we will be in full HiVe mode soon enough! If the headache does not become worse… What a glorious April 25th it will be! Cause, we just spun, the new Miss Lava, out on Small Stone Records, April 25th. Spinning now: the new Temple Fang, out on Stickman Records April 25th.  And after that? You tell me!

As you might have gathered. We have been smitten with the Spaces album by Trail. Logically, we’ve been listening a lot to that wonderful record. And so should you! Another one that skyrocketed to the top of our playlist is the new Oblivious. Their new record När Isarna Sjunger will soon be out via Gaphals. Their proto heavy rock hits every button at the exact right moment. Seventies hard rock with a righteous groove and boogie that will make you lust ever every track! It will even teach you spot of Swedish thanks to the multiple repeats! Crypt Trip is featured high on the Doom Charts this month. And rightfully so! Again we’re celebrating the proto realm, but with more blues and southern touches and a whole lot of haze and fuzz!
