Back from Italy...

 

Back from Italy… 

And then you are back in the mess once again… Luckily we have almost a month’s worth of great memories to swim around in. What an amazing time we had! There’s music everywhere and in everything! Doing more tourist things the first days by visiting Naples, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast… But not finding time to head into the southern parts of Salerno. We shall have to come back! And then heading off into the Abruzzo mountains. Hiking around its more southern parts first and then the north. The mountains near Barrea and its lake, stunning! And then the Corno Grande and the Grand Sasso region, breathtaking! Amazing times! Amazing weather. Meeting nothing but good people, mountains and trees with great energies and lovely spirits! And realizing on the road the back we skirted towns where the boys from Deadpeach and Warcoe live. Yes! Next time we hit all those towns for sure! Can’t wait to come back…

But now, it’s back to the grind… But we have those memories… And all that great and heavy music! Only some 2000 emails to sort through… So, soon, Stoner HiVe will be back in action! It might just take a day or two more though… The listening to the good stuff starts now…

Off to Italy…

And like that… We’re gone… Well, in a few hours... Off to Italy for three weeks, seeing the sights, hiking the mountains and probably trying to dive into the Vesuvius volcano. No updates on the little old blog or on Facebook… But there might be a very occasional post on Instagram. Since we’re heading for Naples as well, we will surely be listening to the Tuna De Tierra albums. Who, by coincidence, might be reforming (with a different line-up) in the near future! We can only hope! And of course many of the great releases of the past and upcoming months will be travelling with us. And all time favorite 'on the road' albums... Do you have favorites for the road? Let us know, we might be able to take those with us as well..

Back from Italy…

 

 Back from Italy…

Back from Italy, back from lovely Vernazza and the Cinque Terre region… But also from the lake district over there. Spent quite some lovely days around Lago Ledro. Where we did very little for a change, just some hiking, eating some lovely Italian foor and drank a whole lot of Italian wines! And ofcourse listened to all the Italian bands suggested by Stefano Maffioletti and Giorgio Sordato! I reckon it’s about time for a new Doomed And Stoned in Italy compilation! Featuring: P-Stones of Death, Ultracombo, A Forest Mighty Black, El Rojo, Mother Island, Jackie Treehorn Ave, Jahbulong and V Ʌ I L I X I! All of them exceptionally good! And ofcourse Black Elephant and the mighty Black Rainbows! I just wish we would have remembered Kayleth is from Vernona; it would have been grand to meet up with them when we were there! Next time I guess! For there will definitely be a next time!

 

Anyway, we’re back, ready for action and slowly everything will return to normal. Just like the rest of the world, we hope! Just remember, there are over 600 emails to go through for the HiVe mail alone. And countless others on other accounts. So, it might take some time before it really turns back to normal! Great to be back, but missing Italy like crazy already!

Off to… do very little…

Off to… do very little…

Normally we would be flying to the waves around this time. But we’re not very comfortable with flying right now. So; we’re hopping in the car and driving over to Italy. Sure, we’ll hike, sit somewhere on a mountain top. But I guess most of the time will be spent just doing nothing… Reading a book… Watching the sunset and drinking some wine… Italy is supposed to have a decent amount of that… And ofcourse that awesome Black Rainbows album will be spinning on route to the boot and so will Black Elephant. If you have any more new Italian releases we need to take with us;  do not hesitate to let us know! Thanks in advance!
