OK, I'm getting the second of these posts out of the way before the shininess of the whole thing wears off. This is my look at the most collected National League teams, based solely on my experience. No numbers crunching or charts or graphs involved. The NL has a wider variety of vigorously collected teams than the AL does, though I don't think any of them match the Yankees.   1. DODGERS Naturally, I begin with my favorite team. I have the most familiarity with that team in terms of what's available and what's not. That means there may be some bias since I'm so focused on getting cards for this team only, but I think I can be a little objective. This recently acquired 1975 O-Pee-Chee Steve Garvey is a good place to start (yes, the seller shipped it in this pleasantly matching top loader). The Dodgers have a lot of actively collected individual players that makes it difficult to acquire their cards. Garvey and Koufax top the list. Kershaw, Betts and Dodger-era Bellin...

Here's the first of a series of three posts that have been on my mind for years. Every time I'm looking for cards online, it pops into my head: which teams seem to be the most collected? This is not based on research or anything on TCDB or any other site that may have compiled this. It's based on my own experience. When I'm looking to buy a team lot or I'm looking for cards of my team online or at a show, which teams seem to disappear before others regularly? I'm guessing there are less team collectors than there were 10 years ago, there seems to be more player collectors than ever. So this idea probably would have worked better a few years ago. But I'm doing it now in typically delayed fashion. Also there's no time to rank every MLB team, so I'm doing the American League first, then the National League. Then I'll probably compile them together in a third post when everyone is bored with me doing this because thanks a lot, Tik Tok. For the Americ...
