Another Hall of Fame vote has come and gone and so has another debate over the injustice of it all (well, that part never goes away). The former Veterans Committee -- now split into three committees -- voted in former Dodger great Fred McGriff from a selection of eight names. That's two Dodgers in a row now with Gil Hodges and the Crime Dog! McGriff's 86 games with the Dodgers probably didn't do a lot for his Hall of Fame case. Actually I'm surprised anyone made the threshold as the Hall is pretty strict with its qualification rules and the committee members got to vote for only three guys each. But I think it's safe to say now that there are a lot of people -- not just those evil writers -- that don't want to see steroid guys in the Hall. Just an observation. My opinion on this issue is irrelevant and as boring as anyone else's. So let's move on to something a bit more helpful. Let's add some more years in my research into which Topps year feature...
