Cold Showers - Highlands [MEX 093 USA 2011 24-Bit FLAC] At the turn of the last decade, I found myself seeking out new music to appreciate over the pond in the USA. Courtesy free of web streaming services, I happened upon Cold Showers from the Los Angeles suburb of Highland Park and paid a small fortune in shipping (well more than the actual record) for this seven inch single to be shipped over from the tiny label Mexican Summer Records. It wasn't the full on punk riffs of the a-side I wanted ...it was the post-Joy Division feel of the superb b-side, Near Burn . Here is that single ripped to 24-bits of FLAC. I bought this without even hearing it, parting with more shipping costs as I could hear this band's potential. The a-side So I Can Grow is a cheery, bouncy af...
