Speak Uneasy

Swans - E.P. #1 [YGEP 1 YK 1990 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Dig deep into those really uncomfortable places with Swans and a brand new rip in 176.4kHz.  Originally released in 1982 on Labor Records, I am pleased to offer a new superb-sounding rip of the 1990 re-release which was re-eq'ed by the band at B. Monster Studios in New York before release. I don't have the original but I do like the mastering on this, just listen to those sharp snares & rolling toms under the toppy hi-hats, those stabbing & jerky guitars moving across the channels with that thick plucky bass  .... Sensitive Skin needs to be played loud ...very loud. Bloody brilliant! A1   Speak A2   Laugh B1   Sensitive Skin B2   Take Advantage

Swans - Love Will Tear Us Apart [PROD 23B UK 1988 24-Bit FLAC] On the subject of cover bands.... One of my most requested re-posts from the old ESWA from when links only lasted two weeks, in fact, one chap used to message me weekly asking for a re-up. Harshly perhaps, I kept ignoring him ...I only hope that he has found my rips in their new home.  A1 Love Will Tear Us Apart (Red Version) A2 Trust Me B1 Love Will Tear Us Apart (Black Version) B2 New Mind (Purple Version) Swans - Can't Fine My Way Home [MCAT 1347 UK 1989 24-Bit FLAC] The most unlikely cover version by Gira, Jarboe and all was this spaced out working of Blind Faith's Can't Find My Way Home . Swans had mellowed a bit by the late nineties and perhaps the track could have crossed over into the mainstream. A1 Can't Find My Way Home B1 Was He Ever Alive B2 (She's A) Universal Emptiness (Acoustic Version) Thanks again to penguinflight for donating the original vinyl ...

Swans - E.P. #1 [YGEP 1 YK 1990 24-Bit FLAC] Dig deep into those uncomfortable places with Swans. Originally released in 1982, I am delighted to offer my top drawer rip of the 1990 re-release which the band re-eq'ed before release. I don't have the original but I do like the mastering on this, just listen to that familiar snare effect, those stabbing, jerky guitars and that plucky bass ....and Martin Hannett's services were not required. Sensitive Skin needs to be played loud ...very loud. Bloody brilliant! A1 Speak A2 Laugh B1 Sensitive Skin B2 Take Advantage With a huge thanks to penguinflight who donated huge piles of vinyl to the original ESWA blog, and this rip was never published on ESWA
