  BGM - Back Ground Music [STUDIO MULE 24 DEU 2019 24-Bit FLAC] Originally released on Vanity Records (VANITY 0008) in Japan during 1980. In case you had enough of lounging around in Japan, here is some classic Japanese post-punk from Osaka experimental quartet, BGM. Blending British industrial post-punk, American no-wave, krautrock and the Japanese passion for obscurity, this album was a highly desirable artifact until Japanese label, Mule Musiq licensed it for their German imprint, Studio Mule late last year. Front man Takayuki Shiraishi went on to be a leading light from the world of Japanese techno during the nineties, but this ain't techno - funky drums and throbbing bass with scratching guitars hit you square on during the opening Mix (whish sounds much like it was recorded in a squash court during play), the pulsing Neo Dancer is anything but danceable. This album is driven by repetition and primitivist swagger, it is a compelling listen full of internationalist ...
